Advocate Siddhi Deolekar has filed a complaint at Shivaji Park Police Station against Cockroach Janata Party activists over an alleged protest despite denied permission. She cited Bombay High Court restrictions and accused the organisers of defying the law during an SIR-related protest.

Siddhi Deolekar, a resident and advocate, on Friday said she lodged a complaint at Shivaji Park Police Station against Cockroach Janata Party activists Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka, Saurav Das, and Ratna Singh for allegedly proceeding with the Shivaji Park protest despite denial of permission.
In a post on X, Deolekar said the complaint was filed against CJP leaders Dipke, Ranka, Das and Ratna Singh, the legal affairs head of the Cockroach Janata Party, and others for allegedly proceeding with the protest and gathering a large crowd despite an express denial of permission.
As a responsible Shivaji Park citizen I have lodged complaint against @abhijeet_dipke , @AshutoshRanka @SauravDassss and @whattalawyer at Shivaji Park Police Station for allegedly attempting to proceed with the Shivaji Park Protest and gathering huge crowd despite express denial of permission and the restrictions flowing from the Hon’ble Bombay High Court’s judgment in PIL 116/2009 dated 04.01.2013 and the subsequent Maharashtra Government order
This is not “peaceful protest”. This is an attempt to defy the law under the cover of a political protest.
The irony is extraordinary: those claiming to fight for the Constitution are openly challenging the authority of a High Court established under that very Constitution.
You cannot demand constitutional rights while deliberately disregarding constitutional obligations and judicial directions.
If this conduct is allowed, tomorrow anyone can violate a court-backed restriction, call it a “peaceful activity”, and expect the law to look away.
No ideology, no political campaign and no individual is above the Constitution.
No one is above the law. This Protest is an Insult to the Hon’ble High Court of Bombay

#WATCH | Mumbai | A resident of Shivaji Park and advocate Siddhi Deolekar says, “I have been living right opposite Shivaji Park for the last 10 years, and I have lodged a complaint against the CJP founders for conducting an illegal protest today. They were not granted permission, and this is the letter issued by the Shivaji Park Police Station to Ajinkya Shinde. The letter clearly states why permission was not granted. It states that, as per the Bombay High Court order dated January 4, 2013, they would not be allowed to hold a protest here. Despite that order of the Bombay High Court, they decided to conduct the protest on the roads today. Well, I am not against protests. Everyone has the right to protest, but there are designated places for protests. So why come onto the road and protest like this? You can go to Azad Maidan or Jantar Mantar, but why block the roads and traffic and sit outside other people’s houses to protest? What kind of protest is this? If you want the Election Commissioner to resign, then go and protest at Jantar Mantar, but not opposite our houses… I really want to thank the Mumbai Police. They assured us—not just me, but many other citizens like me who went and complained. We simply needed assistance and wanted to feel secure. There were many people like me who approached the police, and we were assisted very well…I hope appropriate action will be taken against them…” (02.10)
