Salman Khan’s father, Salim Khan, was rushed to the hospital on February 17. The 90-year-old legendary screenwriter has remained in the ICU at the Lilavati Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai, ever since. The entire family, including Salman, Helen, Salma Khan, Alvira Agnihotri, Arpita Khan, Arbaaz, and others, have been visiting him post the hospitalization. Now, the doctor has shared an update on Salim Khan’s health while speaking to the media outside the hospital. On February 18, Dr. Jalil Parkar from the Lilavati Hospital addressed the media stationed outside and said that the legendary writer is doing ‘fine’. Doctor shares update on Salim Khan’s health
Dr. Parkar revealed that Salim Khan was put on ventilator as a safety measure since he got admitted with high blood pressure. He also stated that a small procedure took place this morning (February 18), as Khan suffered a minimal brain hemorrhage. The doctor said, “He was having jerks, and his blood pressure was high. We treated him. We had to put him on ventilator so that he does not worsen. It wasn’t because he was critical. We did investigations that were required. Today, we have done a small procedure on him. I will not go into its detail. He is fine. He is stable. He has been shifted to the ICU. By tomorrow, he will be off the ventilator. He is doing quite well. Age is a factor, I understand. That is why the process of recovery will take time.”
According to the reports, Salim Khan was rushed to the hospital early in the morning, at around 8:30 am on February 17. He was reportedly brought to the emergency department by the family’s doctor, Dr. Sandeep Chopra.
