Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA from Ludhiana’s Atam Nagar, Kulwant Sidhu, has reportedly been receiving threatening calls. The MLA confirmed the development and alleged that Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun was behind the threats.
On Saturday night, a suspected recce was conducted outside Sidhu’s residence. A black-tinted ‘i20’ car was seen parked outside his house while he was holding a meeting inside.
The occupants reportedly waited for some time after noticing people present at the house.
When suspicious movement was spotted on CCTV cameras, people inside stepped out to check. Seeing this, the suspects fled the scene.
It is suspected that they may have been planning an attack or attempting to confirm the MLA’s residence as a target.

SECURITY TRIED TO STOP THEM, BUT THEY ESCAPED
Sidhu stated that around 9 pm on Saturday, a meeting was underway at his residence when a black-tinted car stopped outside for about two minutes, seemingly identifying the house.
By the time his gunman attempted to stop them and went inside to inform him, the suspects had sped away.
‘I AM NOT AFRAID’
Reacting strongly to the threats and suspicious activities, Sidhu said he is not afraid of any threats. He added that he has the blessings of Baba Deep Singh Ji and will continue serving the public without fear.
Sikhs for Justice is a Khalistani terrror organisation banned in India. Its leader, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, has previously issued death threats to MLA Kulwant Sidhu.
In view of the threat perception, the administration has advised him not to answer calls from unknown international numbers.
