Chandra Kumar Bose, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s grandnephew, has written to I&B Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw over Prabhas’ Fauzi teaser. He has strongly objected to the alleged portrayal and demanded strict action against the makers.

Prabhas fans had been eagerly waiting for the teaser of his upcoming film Fauzi, which finally dropped on his birthday. However, the promo has landed in controversy for allegedly showing Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose introducing the titular character to Adolf Hitler. The freedom fighter’s grandnephew, Chandra Kumar Bose, strongly objected to the portrayal and demanded that the teaser be removed. Now, he has written a letter to Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding strict action. He also tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet.
Netaji’s Grandnephew Writes To I&B Minister Amid Fauzi Teaser Row
Chandra Kumar Bose has written to I&B Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw amid the controversy surrounding the teaser of Fauzi, starring Prabhas and directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. In his letter, he pointed out that the teaser was released on October 23, 2026, which also marked the 83rd Balidan Diwas of revolutionary leader Bhagabati Charan Panigrahi, an associate of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He objected to the teaser, which allegedly shows Netaji, the Supreme Commander of the Indian National Army and the first Prime Minister of undivided India, speaking to Adolf Hitler and introducing a fictional character named Fauzi.
Netaji’s grandnephew wrote, “We take strong offence to this trivialisation of Netaji. We also fail to understand as to how could the Censor Board clear such an objectionable content. You are requested to kindly look into this very serious concern and get it investigated. It shall be the right service to the nation if you make sure that this teaser is pulled down and the responsible ones at the Censor Board are punished in an exemplary manner.”
“The teaser of Fauzi ought to be pulled down, corrected and released again. Should our concern regarding Netaji be resolved (for the teaser as well as for the Movie), my best wishes go out for #Prabhas and the entire team @FauziTheMovie. Hope @hanurpudi realises the seriousness,” Bose added in the caption.
Fauzi Teaser Controversy
The glimpse of Fauzi shows Adolf Hitler asking Netaji, “What’s his name?” Netaji then introduces Prabhas’ character as an Indian spy and strategist who worked against British intelligence.
