India Releases Names of Pakistani Officials Who Attended Funerals Of Terrorists, List Includes Army Lt General

Days after Pahalgam massacre, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar made an open admission that he got the name of terror group removed from UNSC statement condemning the terror attack.

The funeral was led by LeT terrorist Abdul Rauf, underscoring the depth of Pakistan’s support for designated terrorist groups.

India on Sunday released the names of Pakistani officials who attended a ceremony held for terrorists killed in Indian strikes on the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) headquarters under Operation Sindoor. The funeral was led by LeT terrorist Abdul Rauf, underscoring the depth of Pakistan’s support for designated terrorist groups.
A picture from the funeral was released during a joint press conference by Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) this evening. “…There was a funeral, and a very prominent figure was organizing it… You can very well understand where these people are getting their support from,” said DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai as the image was showed at the screen.
Abdur Rauf was seen leading prayers for those killed in the strikes on the LeT’s headquarters in Muridke, about an hour away from Lahore.

The image was first shown by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri at a press briefing two days ago.

A local cleric, Abdur Rauf was seen in videos on Wednesday flanked by military officers, even as those killed inside the LeT/FIF complex were given “state honours”, draped in the Pakistan national flag. He is known for openly advocating the annexation of Kashmir and for his role in recruiting and training suicide bombers.

Several high-ranking officials from the Pakistani military, including a Lt General, were seen paying their respects to the terrorist. These were: Lt Gen Fayyaz Hussain, Major General Rao Imran and Brigadier Mohd Furqan.
A legislator from Punjab province, Malik Sohaib Ahmed, was also seen at the funeral.
‘Pakistan Gave State Funerals to Terrorists’
At a press conference on Wednesday, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had shared a photo from the funeral. “It’s also odd that the funerals of civilians are carried out with the coffins being draped in Pakistani flags and state honours being accorded. As far as we are concerned, the individuals eliminated at these facilities were terrorists. Giving terrorists state funerals may be a practice in Pakistan. It doesn’t seem to make much sense to us,” Misri said.
Pakistan Pursuing Cross-border Terrorism Against India for Decades
Misri also said that it was because of Pakistan’s strong opposition that UNSC dropped the mention of the role of terror group The Resistance Force (TRF) while condemning the Pahalgam attack. “Pakistan’s reputation as the centre of global terrorism is rooted in various terrorist attacks across the globe,” Misri said.
The Resistance Front (TRF) – a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba – had claimed responsibility for the April 22 terror attack that left 26 civilians, mostly tourists, dead.

“The US had shared a draft condemning the Pahalgam terror attack. I cited two reservations in the document – one, the release mentioned just Pahalgam, the second reservation was the mention of The Resistance Front as the group behind the terrorist attack. I told them that it is unacceptable. There was too much shuttling due to the time difference. I gave clear instructions to our permanent representative at the UN to make the amendments to the draft,” Ishaq Dar said at the National Assembly of Pakistan.
