Timothee Chalamet has shared the first look of Dune: Part Three directed by Denis Villeneuve, set for a December 18 release. The film continues Paul Atreides’ story after Dune: Part Two with the narrative based on Frank Herbert’s novel Dune Messiah. The movie marks final part of the trilogy.

Timothee Chalemet fans, the countdown to his much loved franchise Dune’s final instalment has just ticked off. The film titled Dune 3 will be the last film in Denis Villenueve’s epic and to raise excitement among fans, the makers have unveiled a major drop. Recently,
Timothee Chalamet dropped the first glimpse of Dune: Part Three, the final chapter in the sci-fi trilogy. The film is set for a December 18 release and is expected to clash with Avengers: Doomsday at the box office. Chalamet revealed his return with a photo posted on his Instagram story.
Timothee Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides in Dune 3
In the poster shared by Timothee, he is seen bearing a menacing look, with a bruised face and intense eyes. Timothee’s Paul has covered his face with a mask and it seems he is set to take on a new journey in the upcoming franchise of the Denis Villenueuve’s epic. The poster reveal has further sparked curiosity among fans and set the stage for new revelations to come, including the teaser reveal today.
He has also kicked off the countdown to Dune 3 trailer with yet another intriguing post as the menacing villain in the series.
The makers had also dropped Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Robert Pattinson and more stars’ character posters.
What we know about Dune 2?
The film – Dune: Part Two – released in 2024, was directed and co-written by Denis with Jon Spaihts. In the movie, the Marty Supreme star reprised his role as Paul Atreides, as he continued his journey on Arrakis alongside his mother, Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson). He alongside the Fremen and grew close to Chani (Zendaya), as they took on the Harkonnens. The story ended with Paul defeating the enemy and setting off a larger war across the galaxy.
New characters introduced in Dune 2
The sequel also introduced new characters, with Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan, and Léa Seydoux as Lady Margot. Villeneuve had hinted that the third film would give bigger roles to Pugh, Seydoux and Anya Taylor-Joy, who briefly appeared as Paul’s sister Alia. Josh Brolin and Jason Momoa are also set to return, while Robert Pattinson joins the cast as the antagonist Scytale.
