A new Miss World begins her reign tonight.

Dominican Republic’s Joheirry Mola Dominguez has been crowned Miss World 2026 at the grand finale in Nha Trang, Vietnam, emerging from a field of 111 contestants at the 75th Anniversary edition of the pageant. India’s Nikita Porwal, meanwhile, secured a place in the Top 40, making the cut after finishing among the Top 10 in the Asia and Oceania group.

Miss World Spain Elisabeth Reynes Alabern was named the first runner-up, while Miss World Malaysia Taanusiya Chetty finished as the second runner-up. The Top 6 also featured Miss World Eritrea Snit Habteab Tewoldemedhin, Miss World Vietnam Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc and Miss World South Africa Romanda Hombir, alongside Mola. Mola will be succeeding Thailand’s Opal Suchata Chuangsri, who took her final walk as Miss World tonight, thanking the organisation for a deeply transformative year.

The 2026 edition unfolded across Vietnam, bringing together contestants from around the world for a series of cultural showcases, contemporary challenges and the pageant’s signature Beauty With a Purpose initiative before culminating in the final in Nha Trang.

Mola’s victory marks a landmark moment for the Dominican Republic. The 24-year-old, who is a literature and social studies teacher, news correspondent, model and founder of the community initiative Voices of Tomorrow, has built her platform around expanding opportunities for children and young people in vulnerable communities.

For Spain’s Elisabeth Reynes, the first runner-up finish was a strong finish for her smooth run through the competition, while Malaysia’s Taanusiya Chetty made the Top 6 through the Beauty With a Purpose route. Vietnam’s Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc represented the host nation in the final six, while Eritrea’s Snit Habteab advanced through the People’s Choice route – more than 20 million votes pooled in from the world over for her and Miss World Nigeria, Joy Mojisola Raimi. South Africa’s Romanda Hombir completed the continental representation for Africa in the Top 6.
