Rhea Chakraborty Gets Relief In Sushant Singh Rajput Case As Mumbai Court Orders Defreezing Of Bank Accounts
In a significant development in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, actress Rhea Chakraborty has received major relief after a Mumbai court ordered the defreezing of her bank accounts. The accounts, along with those of her brother Showik Chakraborty and mother Sandhya Chakraborty, had been frozen by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) during its investigation into the alleged drug angle linked to the 2020 case.
The special NDPS court ruled that the NCB failed to follow mandatory legal procedures while freezing the accounts. It noted that the agency did not comply with provisions under the NDPS Act, including obtaining timely confirmation for the action. Due to this procedural lapse, the court found the freezing of accounts invalid and allowed them to be operated again.
The bank accounts had originally been frozen when the NCB began probing a suspected drug network in Bollywood following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in June 2020. Rhea Chakraborty and her family were among those investigated during this period.
Rhea and her family had approached the court seeking access to their funds, arguing that the freezing order was not legally sustainable. After reviewing the case, the court agreed that due process had not been properly followed by the investigating agency.
Ameesha Patel reveals Indira Gandhi visited her at birth and fixed her parents’ wedding date in a surprising new interview.
Ameesha Patel opens up about her Indira Gandhi connection.
Ameesha Patel has made a big reveal about her family’s close ties with former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actor shared that Indira Gandhi was the first person to visit her after birth and even played a role in her parents’ wedding.
‘Indira Gandhi was the first person to come and see me’
In a recent conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha spoke about how early her connection with the Gandhi family began. “When I was born at Breach Candy Hospital, the first person to come and see me was Indira Gandhi.” She said that this bond was not incidental but rooted in her family’s long-standing association with Indian politics.
Grandfather’s deep political influence
Ameesha spoke at length about her grandfather, barrister Rajni Patel, and his influence in political circles. “My grandfather, Barrister Rajni Patel, was a very renowned barrister. Then he stepped into politics. His mentor from childhood was Jawaharlal Nehru. When he entered politics, he first joined the Communist Party and then moved to the Congress. During his time in Congress, his closest associate was Indira Gandhi. He was her chief advisor. He had also served as the Congress treasurer and Congress president. There wasn’t any major move that Indira Gandhi would make without discussing it with my grandfather or taking his opinion. My grandfather also raised funds for many chief ministers across India. It is a very politically involved family.”
Wedding date decided by Indira Gandhi
One of the more surprising details shared by Ameesha was about her parents’ wedding. “Indira Gandhi fixed the wedding date of my parents as well. Their horoscopes didn’t match, so she was asked when she was available, and based on her dates, my parents’ wedding day was finalised.”
She also spoke of another major contribution by her grandfather. “The Nehru Planetarium in Worli was built by my grandfather as a tribute to his mentor Jawaharlal Nehru. There is a very deep connection with the Gandhi family.”
What she had said earlier
This is not the first time Ameesha has spoken about her family’s ties. In an earlier appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, she shared similar memories.
“Mrs. Indira Gandhi was the one who fixed the date of my parents’ wedding. There was no kundali looked to set date for their wedding. My grandfather, Barrister Rajni Patel, asked Indira Gandhi, ‘Indira, when are you free? She said, Rajni, I am free on the 4th of July.’ The date was booked on the 4th of July. It was booked in Taj Mahal Palace, South Bombay, Colaba. And that’s how my parents got married.”

Chitrangada Singh recalls how people warned her about working with Salman Khan
Speaking with NDTV at the Yuva event, Chitrangada Singh dismissed rumors about Salman Khan being unprofessional on film sets. The actress said, “People said a lot of things about Salman, like schedules would be stretched and he might not be on time. People used to say he is unprofessional, but he is amazing.”
She added, “He treats everyone with love, looks after others, and shows concern even for crew members. He was very approachable and has that amazing quality of noticing the least visible person on set, whether it is a lightman or the fourth AD. He would ask whether they had a break and their food on time, and how they were being treated. To still have that concern after so many years in the industry is amazing. People said he wouldn’t come early, but he came early because I was shooting early.”
More about Maatrubhumi
Maatrubhumi is an upcoming war drama based on real events that took place during the Galwan Valley clash. The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films. Salman Khan plays an Indian Army Colonel, while Chitrangada Singh portrays his wife.
A Mumbai NDPS court ordered the defreezing of bank accounts of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother, citing failure by the NCB to follow mandatory legal procedures. The court noted that no confirmation order was obtained within the required timeframe.

The special NDPS court on Saturday ordered the defreezing of bank accounts held by actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, which were seized by the NCB in 2020 while probing a drug trail linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The court ruled the agency failed to follow mandatory procedures.
Defence cites procedural lapses
The siblings had moved the special court through their lawyers Ayaz Khan and Zehra Charania, claiming the agency failed to comply with legal protocols.
The defence contended that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) did not follow the provisions of Section 68F of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, which pertains to the seizure or freezing of illegally acquired property. They argued that the freezing of the accounts was, therefore, illegal.
Requirement of competent authority order
Under these provisions, the agency must obtain a formal order from a competent authority within 30 days of the attachment. The defence highlighted that no such order was obtained in this case.
Prosecution opposes plea
The prosecution opposed the application, citing Chakraborty’s statement to claim she was an active member of a drug syndicate in contact with peddlers. They argued the officer was justified in freezing the accounts of the suspects.

“80 Lakh For Cannes? Main India Mein Hi Theek Hoon”: Uorfi Javed Claims She Was Asked To Pay Huge Amount For Festival Appearance
Actor and social media personality Uorfi Javed has once again grabbed attention after revealing a shocking claim about attending the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
Known for fearlessly calling out industry practices, Uorfi took to Instagram on Thursday to share a screenshot of a conversation. In the chat, she was allegedly told that a vendor could arrange her appearance at Cannes—but at a hefty cost of ₹80 lakh. Instead of entertaining the offer, she reacted strongly and chose to expose the situation publicly.
Sharing the screenshot, she wrote, “80 lakhs for Cannes? Mai India me theek hu! Itna kya desperation badh gaya hai Cannes ka that people are ready to pay 80 lakhs!!!!” Her candid reaction quickly went viral, sparking widespread discussion online.
Over the past few years, several influencers have been seen walking the Cannes red carpet, leading to ongoing speculation about whether some pay their way in. While many influencers have clarified that they attend through brand collaborations rather than personal payments, Uorfi’s revelation has once again raised questions about how access to such global platforms actually works.
Her post has triggered a larger debate around authenticity, representation, and the commercialization of prestigious events like Cannes. While the festival continues to be a respected space for cinema and art, Uorfi’s claim hints at a parallel system where financial backing may influence participation.
Janhvi Kapoor Shows Off New Short Hair Look in 3D Floral Gown at Switzerland Event, Wears ₹4.5 Lakh Watch
Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor recently made a striking appearance in Geneva, Switzerland, where she effortlessly blended vintage glamour with modern elegance. Attending the event as a “Friend of the Maison” for Baume & Mercier, the actress turned heads with a bold new hair transformation and a couture ensemble that instantly grabbed attention.
Before even noticing her outfit, it was Janhvi’s dramatic hair makeover that became the highlight. Instead of cutting her long locks, her team cleverly styled her hair into a faux bob using a tuck-under technique. With a deep side part and soft, sculpted S-waves, the look channelled classic old Hollywood charm while still feeling contemporary. The shorter style framed her face beautifully, allowing her neckline and overall styling to stand out.
For the event, Janhvi opted for a stunning couture gown designed by Sabina Bilenko. The strapless piece came in a soft champagne tone and featured intricate 3D floral detailing in silver and deep midnight blue, making it visually striking. Elevating the look further, she layered it with a sheer silk organza coat, complete with dramatic bell sleeves and delicate ruffle accents that added movement and a vintage-inspired touch.
Keeping the focus on her outfit, she accessorised with diamond and sapphire jewellery, including a statement necklace and bold rings. Adding a luxurious finishing touch, Janhvi wore a diamond-studded watch from Baume & Mercier, reportedly priced at around ₹4.5 lakh.

Lizzalazz says she learned of Kohli’s like through news reports.
German Influencer Lizzalazz grabbed everyone’s attention in India on Friday when cricketer Virat Kohli allegedly liked her Instagram photos. In no time, Lizzalazz’s photoshoot went viral on social media and Virat’s reaction to it triggered a meme fest. Now, the content creator has also reacted to social media attention.
In a recent interaction, Lizzalazz revealed that she had not noticed Virat liking her pictures unless she read it in the news. “It was crazy because I woke up and then I was all over the news. I don’t even know when he liked the picture, I learnt through the news. So many people found the articles done on me on many different platforms and sent them to me in my DMs. I got so many messages today, people were super excited about it,” she told Hindustan Times.

Further, asked about Kohli disliking her pictures, Lizzalazz added, “I felt a bit sorry for him actually! I was so happy that he liked it, but then him unliking it, I felt a bit bad for him because I don’t even know how it became such a big story. About Krushna Abhishek’s Fight With Govinda

However, earlier this year, Sunita finally revealed that everything is fine between Govinda and Krushna now. “How long can I be angry with my kids?” she told Pinkvilla, adding, “Why hold grudges when everyone is happy in their own space? I only want to give blessings to all the kids; they are like my own.”
Bobby Deol Gets Emotional Remembering Dharmendra: Opens Up About Regrets, Childhood Memories And Padma Vibhushan Honour
In a deeply emotional and personal reflection, Bobby Deol opened up about his relationship with his late father, Dharmendra, sharing memories, regrets, and the lessons he has carried forward after his passing. The veteran actor, who passed away in November 2025, left behind not just a legendary cinematic legacy but also a profound emotional impact on his family.
Bobby spoke candidly about a challenging phase in his career when work had slowed down. During that time, what affected him the most was not the lack of success, but the silent pressure of how his father might have perceived him. He admitted that he often found himself wondering if he had lived up to his father’s expectations, which weighed heavily on him.
Looking back, Bobby also expressed regret over conversations that were never had. He acknowledged that, like many, he took time with his father for granted and now feels the absence more deeply. These emotions have reshaped his outlook on life, making him value family and relationships far more than professional milestones or fame.
He fondly recalled his childhood memories, describing them as some of the most cherished moments of his life. These memories, he said, continue to stay with him and offer comfort even today. At the same time, they serve as a reminder of the bond he shared with his father and the simplicity of those earlier years.
Bobby also reflected on the honour of his father being awarded the Padma Vibhushan posthumously in 2026, calling it a proud yet emotional moment for the family. The recognition reaffirmed Dharmendra’s immense contribution to Indian cinema, but also highlighted the bittersweet reality that he was not there to witness it.
Prem Chopra Praises Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Performance, Says Makers Should Go Slow On Abuse And Violence
Veteran actor Prem Chopra recently shared his thoughts on Dhurandhar, expressing admiration for the film while also offering a measured critique. He said he was genuinely impressed by Ranveer Singh’s performance, calling it powerful and engaging, and acknowledged the overall effort put in by the makers. However, he also felt that certain aspects of the film could have been handled differently.
Speaking about the changing landscape of Hindi cinema, Prem Chopra pointed out how storytelling has evolved over the years. Comparing today’s films with those from the eras of legends like Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, he noted that cinema has shifted from emotionally driven narratives to more intense, high-octane storytelling. According to him, this transformation is largely influenced by prevailing trends and audience preferences, adding, “It’s a trend that people follow.”
While he appreciated Dhurandhar as a well-made film, Chopra mentioned that he found it a bit too lengthy and felt the makers could have exercised restraint in certain areas. In particular, he suggested that the film could have benefited from toning down its use of abuse and violence. Despite this, he made it clear that his feedback comes from a place of experience and observation, rather than criticism alone.

Sassy, bold, seductive, playful, haunting, grieving, and soulful, Asha Bhosle could mould her voice in every way possible. Always the one to take the road not taken, she could do it all and be all.
“Mujhe film line mein 82 saal ho gaye hain. Abhi ye ichha hai gaate-gaate mera dum nikle. Mujhe sabse zyada khushi hogi main gaate-gaate jaaoon,” Asha Bhosle said on her first podcast Couple of Things in 2025.
On April 12, the voice that entertained generations of music lovers fell silent. Asha Bhosle died on Sunday at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital following multiple organ failure.
Asha Bhosle was born on September 8, 1933 in Sangli, Maharashtra, to reknowned singer Deenanath Mangeshkar and Shevanti Mangeshkar. Asha Bhosle was the third child of the couple, younger to melody queen Lata Mangeshkar and Meena Khadikar, and elder to Usha Mangeshkar and Hridayanath Mangeshkar.
After their father died when Asha Bhosle was just nine, she and Lata Mangeshkar had to start working. Asha Bhosle, who made her singing debut at the age of 10 with the song Chala Chala Nav Bala for the 1943 Marathi film Majha Bal, initially struggled to find her footing in the film industry, especially when Lata Mangeshkar was the first choice to playback for heroines.
If Lata Mangeshkar was ‘Lata Didi’, Asha Bhosle was ‘Asha Tai’. She was pretty much the antithesis of what Lata Mangeshkar was not.
If Lata Mangeshkar voiced the morally-upright, ‘pure’ leading lady, Asha Bhosle broke new ground by churning out foot-tapping dance numbers featuring the vamp or the ‘item girl’ performing cabaret at a club.
If not for Asha Bhosle, Helen would never have had a voice. O Haseena Zulfonwali, Aa Jaane Jaan, to Ye Mera Dil, it is impossible to imagine Helen’s sultry dance moves withouts Asha Bhosle’s vigour and passion.
And, Asha Bhosle knew she had to do something unique to be able to carve her own niche in showbiz. If she could make you groove to Jawani Jaaneman and Dum Maaro Dum, she could make you miss your beloved with Jaaoon Kahan Jaaoon and Ye Kya Jagan Hai Doston. Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko, Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar, In Ankhon Ki Masti, Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu, to Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, the range she displayed in the love song genre alone was phenomenal.
“I thought to myself, if I will continue to sing in a similar voice to didi, then I will never get work as long as didi is in the business. I won’t have a name and fame of my own. After this incident, I began to change my style of singing.
“I started to watch English movies to learn Western songs, observe how they would sing in English. I also learnt how to sing qawwali, ghazals, the voice modulations needed in different forms of singing. I started to learn it all,” Asha Bhosle once said.
There were many comparisons and a lot of speculation about sibling rivalry, one that neither confirmed. “People did carry tales and try to create trouble, but blood is thicker than water. I remember, sometimes both of us would be at a function and some industry types would ignore me and interact only with her, as if to prove their loyalty. Later, Didi and I would have a good laugh,” Asha Bhosle had said.
Sai Paranjpye’s 1998 film Saaz was reportedly based on the professional tussel between Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar, a claim the former rubbished. “It’s not true at all. To have two women in long plaits, take a couple of incidents and exaggerate them into a three-hour film is such a waste of time,” Asha Bhosle had said.
She eventually went on to create her own space, independent of her elder sister Lata Mangeshkar. Initially pegged as the dance number voice, Asha Bhosle loved challenges and loved proving people wrong.
During the photo installation ceremony of her late sister Lata Mangeshkar at Deenanath Mangeshkar Natyamandir Hall in Mumbai, Asha Bhosle broke down remembering her ‘Didi’ a few years after her death.
“She used to say, ‘My blessings are always with you whether you come here or not. Mai, Baba and I are always there for you.’ Now after her, whose blessings should I seek? Whom should I tell my troubles? We all have become orphans. She should have been with us guiding us for at least a few more years,” she recalled.
After Asha Parekh, Sadhana, Rekha, the 62-year-old Asha Bhosle sang for Urmila Matondkar, 21 at the time, in Rangeela. She also gave chartbusters for 90s stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor, and Shamita Shetty.
Even in her twilight years, Asha Bhosle — whose X bio read: “Singer since 1943” — was never complacent.
“No one is complete. It is always about how you can change or evolve with time. I’ve sung songs for the main artist and for the dancers as well. I believe I could fit in well with anyone. But I wish I had sung more songs in different languages. I wish I could have done more classical singing,” said the late singer, who was recognised by the Guiness Book of World Records as the most recorded artist in music history in 2011.
Asha Bhosle, who sang over 12,000 songs in as many as 20 languages, formed key partnerships with music composers, including OP Nayyar, SD Burman, RD Burman, whom she later married, Bappi Lahiri, and AR Rahman. A firm believer in destiny, the singer was also vocal about facing politics in her heyday.
“In every field, there’s politics. In films too there’s politics, so it is not easy. I believe a lot in destiny and I believe whatever is meant for me will come to me and what is not meant for me, I’ll never get that. I faced difficulties but today when I look back, it all looks mazedar (fun) as I came out of it,” she told PTI ahead of her live concert in Dubai to mark her 90th birthday.
Yet life brought its fair share of troubles. Asha Bhosle was just 16 when she eloped with her personal secretary, Ganpatrao Bhosle, and had three children with him. After enduring years of mistreatment from her husband and in-laws, she separated from him in 1960. She remarried her frequent collaborator RD Burman in 1980; they had no children.
There’s a faint memory of watching Asha Bhosle live in concert on television in the early 2000s. She wore this shimmering pink saree and her signature pearl bracelet with glittering tassels, a jewellery piece that was a constant at all her live shows.

Zanai Bhosle said that Asha Bhosle has been admitted to hospital following “extreme exhaustion and a chest infection”.

The legal battle follows an earlier complaint filed by James against her husband and Motwani, accusing them of cruelty and harassment.

Bollywood actor Hansika Motwani has moved a Mumbai sessions court, seeking Rs 2 crore in damages, filing a defamation suit against her estranged sister-in-law, television actor Muskan Nancy James, who accused her and her brother Prashant Motwani of domestic violence. The suit also requests a court order restraining James from making further statements against her and calls for a public apology.
Filed through advocate Adnan Shaikh, the plea alleges that James made false and damaging claims about Motwani on social media to avoid repaying an alleged loan of Rs 27 lakh.
According to the petition, James had borrowed the amount during her marriage to Motwani’s brother, Prashant Motwani, but failed to return it despite repeated requests.
Motwani has stated that she had limited involvement in her brother’s marriage and was not residing with the couple.
She claims that the relationship between Prashant and James deteriorated over time, and that she was largely unaware of the details of their disputes.
The suit describes James as a “small-time television actor” who allegedly projected a lavish lifestyle online while refusing to settle her dues.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ALLEGATIONS
The legal battle follows an earlier complaint filed by James against her husband and Motwani, accusing them of cruelty and harassment.
The FIR included allegations of domestic violence, interference in her marriage, and demands for expensive gifts during wedding ceremonies. James also claimed that the stress from the marriage led to her developing Bell’s Palsy- a condition causing partial facial paralysis.
Motwani has denied all allegations made in the FIR, maintaining that she was not part of any domestic arrangement with the couple and therefore cannot be held liable.
She had earlier approached the Bombay High Court seeking to quash the FIR, arguing that the accusations were baseless and intended to damage her reputation. The High Court had issued notice on her plea.
In addition to the civil suit, Motwani has also filed a criminal defamation case against James before a magistrate court in Andheri under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The dispute stems from the troubled marriage between Prashant Motwani and James, who married in 2020 and have reportedly been living separately since 2022.

Trigger Warning: This article discusses mental health and sensitive topics, including suicide. The content is intended for awareness and informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for professional help. If you or someone you know is struggling with emotional distress, depression, or thoughts of self-harm, please seek immediate support from a qualified mental health professional or contact a local helpline.
The entertainment industry and fans are mourning the tragic loss of Tamil television actor Subashini, popularly known as Shaashvi Bala, who was known for her role in the hit show Kayal. The 36-year-old actor was found dead in Chennai, with initial reports confirming death by suicide.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. According to news reports, Subashini, who had Sri Lankan origins, was residing in an apartment in Iyyappanthangal when the incident occurred.
What is known so far?
News reports say authorities responded promptly after being alerted and have begun examining all aspects of the case. While the exact reasons behind the incident remain unclear, officials are gathering evidence and speaking to those close to the actor.
The news has sent shockwaves through the Tamil television industry, with colleagues and fans expressing grief and disbelief. Subashini had built a strong following through her performances, making her sudden passing even more heartbreaking.
A reminder of mental health challenges
The tragic incident has once again brought attention to the importance of mental health awareness, particularly in high-pressure professions like the entertainment industry. Actors and public figures often face intense scrutiny, irregular schedules, and emotional stress, which can impact their mental well-being.
Experts emphasize that mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and emotional distress can affect anyone, regardless of success or public image. Unfortunately, these struggles often remain hidden due to stigma or a lack of open conversation.
Why is mental health awareness important?
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Ignoring emotional distress can lead to serious consequences over time. Warning signs that should not be overlooked include:
Persistent sadness or hopelessness
Withdrawal from social interactions
Changes in sleep or appetite
Difficulty concentrating
Expressions of feeling overwhelmed or helpless
Recognising these signs early and seeking support can make a crucial difference.
The importance of seeking help
Mental health professionals stress that help is available, and no one has to go through difficult times alone. Reaching out to trusted friends, family members, or trained counsellors can provide much-needed support.
In India, several helplines and organisations offer confidential assistance for those struggling with emotional distress. Creating a supportive environment where people feel safe to talk about their feelings is key to preventing such tragedies.
Social media and public sensitivity
In the age of viral news, incidents like these spread rapidly online. While awareness is important, experts urge the public and media to approach such topics with sensitivity and responsibility, avoiding speculation or unverified claims. Responsible reporting can help shift the focus from sensationalism to awareness and prevention.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Supports The Kerala Story By Saying, “When The Kerala Story Came, They Started Saying That Everything Is A Lie.
The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, indeed created a stir with its nationwide release. While the film left a significant impact upon its release, it stood strong with its narrative, sparking conversations across the nation.
The impact of the film is evident, as Narendra Modi cited it while accusing the opposition of labeling such narrative-driven films as misleading or false.
Accusing the opposition for spreading fake narratives around movies, he said, “They are experts in lying. When The Kerala Story came, they started saying that everything is a lie. When The Kashmir Files came, they started saying that everything is a lie. When the Dhurandar film came, they started saying that everything is a lie.”
The Kerala Story follows women from Kerala shown being recruited into extremist organisations, centring on issues of radicalisation and exploitation. It faced objections by Congress and other opposition parties over claims of exaggeration and community targeting.

Hrithik Roshan Accepts That Bad VFX Exists, Defends Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana Makers
Hrithik Roshan defended Ramayana makers amid massive wave of VFX criticism, explaining different visual styles. Addressing War 2 backlash, he admitted flaws can occur. Hrithik urged audiences to judge VFX based on storytelling intent, not just realism.
The debate around VFX quality in big-budget Indian films has been the top talking point on social media following the teaser release of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash’s Ramayana. While some viewers praised the scale and ambition, most others criticised the visuals, calling out what they perceived as bad VFX in the short clip. Amid the growing chatter, Hrithik Roshan stepped in with a nuanced perspective, addressing both the criticism and the broader conversation around visual effects in cinema. He has appealed to viewers to debate the issue with more awareness.
‘Bad VFX exists – Hrithik Roshan agrees!
Taking to Instagram, Hrithik candidly admitted that “bad VFX exists” and acknowledged how disappointing it can be, especially when one is closely associated with a project. However, he quickly shifted the focus toward appreciating the intent and effort behind large-scale films. Recalling an incident in his childhood, Hrithik shared how watching Back to the Future sparked his fascination with visual effects, shaping his love for cinema at mere 11-years-old.
The actor went on to praise filmmakers who dare to dream big, naming projects like Kalki 2898 AD, Baahubali, and Ramayana as examples of ambitious storytelling. He also credited his father, Rakesh Roshan, for pioneering VFX-driven films like Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish.
The actor wrote, “Today some special humans among us, like the makers of films like Kalki, Bahubali , Ramayana, ( also my dad for koi mil gaya n krrish ofcourse) are my heroes, they have the guts and vision to do what’s never been done – all for the love of cinema so that we – the audience get to experience something never watched before.” According to Hrithik, such creators are the reason many 11-year-olds will be inspired, like he was.
One of the key points Hrithik talked about was the difference in VFX styles. He explained that not all films aim for photorealism. Some adopt a stylised, storybook-like visual approach, which may include vivid colours, non-realistic lighting, and painterly aesthetics. Drawing comparisons, he referenced films like 300 and The Lord of the Rings. He further elaborated that VFX can range from photorealistic and hyperreal to fantastical or even experimental. According to him, criticism should consider whether the chosen style aligns with the story’s intent rather than judging it against a different standard. Hrithik made it clear that calling something “bad VFX” simply because it does not look realistic can be unfair if realism was never the goal.
However, the actor is not against criticism. Hrithik encouraged audiences to rethink how they evaluate VFX-heavy films. Instead of simply asking whether something looks real, he urged viewers to consider whether it feels right for the story and achieves the intended emotional impact. He wrote, “The least we can do is bash them with some better awareness!”
Hrithik Roshan breaks silence on War 2 VFX criticism
Addressing the criticism around War 2, Hrithik’s spy universe film that released last year, the actor replied to a comment and acknowledged that certain issues, such as “physics/ gravity issue n less time” hampered the film. He admitted that such lapses can affect the viewing experience and that it happens. However, he also pointed out that War set a high benchmark in terms of action and visual execution.
‘Through our courtship, engagement, and marriage, it was always about partnership,’ shared Abhishek. Aishwarya Rai/ Instagram
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are among the Bollywood couples who have faced intense online speculation about their relationship. For years, rumours were rife about their separation and divorce, despite their continued public appearances together.
In his latest interview with Lilly Singh, Abhishek Bachchan opened up about his relationship with Aishwarya Rai, his family, and parenting. He talked about how they have been bringing up their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.
Abhishek Bachchan Credits His “Severe Ego” Behind His Partnership With Aishwarya Rai
For years, internet users have trolled Abhishek and Aishwarya’s relationship. Touching upon the subject of “who is more successful” and traditional gender roles in a marriage, he said, “When my parents got married, my mother was a bigger star than my father was. So, it wasn’t an unnatural thing.”
“It was always about a partnership. I have known Aishwarya from the start of my career. And the second film, I made, was with her,” he added.
He also highlighted that Aishwarya is the only actress with whom he has starred in multiple films. In fact, his second movie, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000), was with her. “We weren’t in a relationship together (then). We were just buddies. We were always friends,” he admitted.
“Through our courtship, our engagement, and our marriage, it was always about partnership. There was no discussion like, ‘I will bring the food, and you take care of the house’. It flows very naturally. For me, I think it comes from severe ego,” the actor said.
When Abhishek spoke about ego, it was not in a negative context. He said that he does not believe someone has to pull back for him to win a race, adding that his father, Amitabh Bachchan, did not launch him or make a film for him, but later produced one of his films, Paa (2009).
“I say ego because I am not the kind of person who believes somebody else has to give up or stop running for me to win that race. And that is my mental structure. I don’t want to be in a partnership or marriage where my wife has to stop doing something because I have to feel manly about myself. And thankfully, my wife is not someone who thinks like that either,” he added.
Abhishek Bachchan Says, “Fathers Are Lousy Teachers”
Abhishek Bachchan not only opened up about his relationship with Aishwarya Rai, but he also talked about how they both have been bringing up their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. “As parents, fathers are lousy teachers,” he said, “I think fathers are lousy teachers because our emotions get in the way and we don’t have that sensitivity chip that women do.”
“Men are wired to display what they want. We are action-oriented. We have become far more sensitive, it’s a great thing,” he shared, and added that most men have the instinct to lead by action.
“You set an example by doing. In my home, both of us (Abhishek and Aishwarya) try to be the best example for Aaradhya. Instead of telling them (children) this is right, or this is wrong, show them what to do by being that,” he added.

Divya Dutta recalls confronting a boy who tried to harass her sister.
Divya Dutta has shared a horrifying eve-teasing experience her sister faced and revealed how her mother’s lessons helped her protect her. The actress shared that someone was about to pinch her sister, but she showed courage and stopped him.
In an interview with Zoom, Divya Dutta said, “He was about to pinch my sister’s butt, and I just held him. Now, where did that confidence come from? Because I was psyched. It came from my mother. I just held him and whacked his wits. Everyone turned around, and then everyone came to help. That boy just ran away. This is passing it on, this confidence and standing up for someone you love.”
She stated that her mother played a significant role in shaping her courage to speak up. The actress also shared another incident from her childhood, when a boy teased her while she was returning from coaching. When Divya informed her mother about this incident, she made sure that she took a stand, spoke up, and confronted the boy, ensuring the harassment stopped.
Divya also spoke about her early days in the industry and how she found her voice and avoided uncomfortable situations. She said, “Your choices speak. I have taken the longer route. I have waited for things when I want to do things my way. And I think it’s a very small industry. People know. When you say a lot of no’s, then afterwards your yeses also come. That takes time. You’ve got to learn how to say no; the way shouldn’t be ruffling feathers, but you’ve got to say no.”
About Divya Dutta’s recent work
Divya Dutta is currently seen in Chiraiya, directed by Shashant Shah and produced by SVF Entertainment. The film features an ensemble cast including Sanjay Mishra, Siddharth Shaw, Prasanna Bisht, Faisal Rashid, Tinnu Anand and Sarita Joshi, among others.

Delhi high court directs the immediate takedown of the two-decade-old song Volume 1 by singers Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah.
The Delhi high court on Thursday directed the immediate takedown of the two-decade-old song Volume 1 by singers Honey Singh and Badshah from all platforms, observing that it was “grossly vulgar,” “obscene,” and “derogatory towards women,” designed to “normalise the treatment of women as objects of ridicule and sexual gratification.”
The song was released by the singers in 2006-07 under their collaboration titled Mafia Mundeer.
A bench of justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav, hearing a petition filed by Hindu Shakti Dal seeking the song’s removal, observed that the lyrics were not merely offensive but were “ex facie calculated to normalise the portrayal of women as objects of ridicule and sexual gratification.”
The court said that permitting the dissemination of such content online, including access by minors, cannot be justified under the guise of artistic freedom of speech. It directed the two singers, and any other persons claiming rights in the song, to take it down from all social media platforms.
“This is one of the rare cases where the conscience of the court is shocked to its absolute core. It is one of those unfortunate instances where the court finds that the song is grossly vulgar, patently obscene, and derogatory towards women, artistic values, and social norms. The lyrics are not merely disrespectful or offensive but are ex facie calculated to normalise the treatment of women as objects of ridicule and sexual gratification,” the court said.
“Interim directions are required to be issued, as allowing dissemination of such content on online platforms, including access by minors, cannot be countenanced under the guise of artistic freedom of speech. No civilised society can permit such content to remain freely available or be monetised… [Honey Singh] and [Badshah] and any other persons claiming rights in the impugned obscene song(s), are directed to immediately take down the URLs hosting such content from social media platforms or any other online locations,” the bench noted.
The bench noted that the song was heard in chambers earlier in the morning, and its title was found to be so objectionable that it could not be reproduced in the order.
The court issued notice to Honey Singh and Badshah and fixed May 7 as the next date of hearing.

The filmmaker was taken into custody in Idukki after an actress filed a sexual assault complaint against him in Kochi. She has accused Ranjith of inappropriate behaviour during a film currently in production. The Ernakulam Central Police arrested Ranjith with the help of local authorities in Thodupuzha. In 2024, the filmmaker resigned as Kerala State Chalachitra Academy chairman after Bengali actress Sreelekha Mitra accused him of harassment. Ranjith had denied the allegations after stepping down as chairman.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office collection day 11: Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the film also stars Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna in significant roles.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office collection day 11: The Telugu‑language action comedy‑drama directed by Harish Shankar.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh box office collection day 11: Pawan Kalyan’s action drama continued its theatrical run on Day 11, playing across 1,118 shows and earning a net ₹1.03 crore. With this, the film’s total India gross has reached ₹82.20 crore, while its net collection stands at ₹69.94 crore so far, as per Sacnilk.com.
The film has been trying to hold its ground at the box office amid competition from Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which was released around the same time.
Ustaad Bhagat Singh’s collection in 11 days
The film had a strong opening week, raking in ₹65.95 Cr over seven days. Day 1 (Thursday) set the pace with ₹34.75 Cr and 69% occupancy across 4,607 shows, while collections gradually declined during the week, ending Day 7 (Wednesday) at ₹1.35 Cr with 18% occupancy. The second week saw further drops, with Day 8 (Thursday) earning ₹1 Cr from 1,890 shows, and Day 11 (Sunday) recording ₹1.03 Cr with 22% occupancy from Telugu shows alone. Analysts note that the performance reflects a typical trend for pan-India releases, with strong openings followed by steady weekday declines.
Director Harish Shankar on clash with Dhurandhar
Speaking about the clash, director Harish Shankar told Glute, “With all due respect, Aditya Dhar is a superior filmmaker. I watched Uri. He is a very impactful, very influential filmmaker. Having said that, pan-India films should consider Dhurandhar as competition. But we have our Telugu states for the film. Also, they both belong to very different genres. If, in place of Dhurandhar, it was a Shah Rukh Khan film, a full entertainer with songs, then we would have thought it’s similar to our film. But Bhagat Singh and Dhurandhar are totally different films.”
He added, “It’s also a collective decision; it wasn’t in my hands alone. Somewhere within, I too felt that I am doing a film with Pawan sir after so long, and for that film to compete with another big release… But whether it’s Sankranti or summer, there is always space for two to three big films. It’s not like theatres will only show Dhurandhar across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.”

Badminton icon Saina Nehwal made headlines last year after announcing her separation from husband Parupalli Kashyap on July 13. However, the couple later chose to give their relationship another chance and eventually reconciled.
Now, Saina has spoken candidly about relationships, motherhood, gender disparity, and leadership in a recent interview with NDTV. Shedding light on her personal and professional journey, she addressed topics ranging from marriage and reconciliation to the challenges women continue to face despite progress in gender equality.
On Reconciliation And Relationships
Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap got married in 2018. Speaking about her marriage and the importance of reconciliation, Saina said relationships are never linear and often require effort, understanding, and patience. She emphasised that disagreements are natural, particularly when both partners are strong individuals, but what matters most is how those disagreements are handled.
Talking about her separation and how things stand now after reconciling, she said, “Every relationship goes through phases. When two strong personalities are involved, disagreements are natural. But what matters is respect, understanding, and the willingness to work things out.”
She added, “In our journey, we’ve learned that communication and patience are very important. Sometimes you need to step back, reflect, and understand each other’s perspective. Over time you realise that relationships are about partnership and growth, not about winning arguments. Today we both try to support each other’s journeys and keep learning from our experiences.”
When asked what it takes to make a relationship work in the long run, Saina highlighted the importance of trust, communication, and mutual respect, while also warning against ego becoming a barrier.
“I think the most important things are trust, respect and communication. Many problems happen when people stop communicating honestly,” said Saina.
She added, “Another important thing is giving each other space and supporting each other’s ambitions. In today’s fast-paced life, ego and misunderstandings can easily create distance. If couples focus on understanding rather than reacting, many issues can actually be resolved.”
On Motherhood And Societal Expectations
Addressing the constant scrutiny women face over motherhood, Saina said such choices should remain personal and free from societal pressure. “I believe motherhood is a very personal decision and every woman’s journey is different. Society often expects women to follow certain timelines, but life doesn’t always work that way.”
“Women today are managing careers, ambitions, and personal choices, and those choices should be respected. I think the important thing is that a woman should feel ready emotionally and personally, rather than feeling pressured by society’s expectations,” added the ace badminton player.
Ram Charan Injured On ‘Peddi’ Sets, Gets Four Sutures But Continues Shooting Without Break
Actor Ram Charan recently sustained an injury while shooting for his upcoming film Peddi, but showed immense dedication by continuing work without taking a break.
According to a source from the actor’s team, the incident took place while he was filming an intense action sequence on Tuesday. The source revealed, “Ram Charan was shooting for an action episode yesterday (Tuesday) and was injured. He had to get four sutures for it. He was injured above his eye, not his eye, like some seem to believe. His eye is fine.”
The clarification came after concerns began circulating among fans regarding the severity of the injury, especially with initial speculation suggesting it may have affected his eye. However, the team confirmed that the injury was minor and not as serious as feared.
Despite the setback, Ram Charan chose not to pause his schedule. Demonstrating professionalism and commitment, he resumed shooting soon after receiving treatment. The source further added that there was “nothing to worry” about his condition, reassuring fans who had been anxious about his health.
His decision to continue working without taking rest highlights his dedication to the project. The actor is currently busy shooting for Peddi, a much-anticipated sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
Badshah Got Married For The 2nd Time After Divorce From Ex? Viral Wedding Photos With Isha Rikhi Spark Buzz Online
Rapper Badshah has reportedly tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, actress Isha Rikhi, six years after his divorce from ex-wife Jasmine Masih. Pictures from their wedding have now surfaced online and are quickly going viral across social media platforms.
According to reports, the couple opted for an intimate wedding ceremony, keeping the celebrations private and away from the media glare. Only close friends and family members were present during the ceremony. While neither Badshah nor Isha has officially confirmed the news yet, the circulating photos have fueled strong speculation among fans.
Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh, was previously married to Jasmine Masih. The two tied the knot in 2012 and later welcomed a daughter together. However, their relationship came to an end in 2020 when they decided to part ways. Since then, the rapper has largely kept his personal life away from the spotlight.
Reports suggest that Badshah and Isha Rikhi had been in a relationship for quite some time before deciding to take the next step. Their romance was kept low-key, with both maintaining silence about their relationship in public.
The now-viral wedding pictures reportedly show the couple dressed in traditional attire, looking happy and radiant as they begin a new chapter together. Fans have been reacting enthusiastically online, flooding social media with congratulatory messages and शुभकामनाएं for the newlyweds.

Aditya Dhar is a great filmmaker and I’m very happy to see how people are loving “Dhurandhar” as well as its follow-up “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”, actor Vicky Kaushal said on Wednesday about the director’s spy saga movie which has lit the box office on fire.
Kaushal, who headlined Dhar’s directorial debut movie “Uri: The Surgical Strike” in 2019, said he loved “Dhurandhar” but is yet to watch the sequel, which released on March 19 and has already amassed over Rs 900 crore at the box office.
“I’m just very happy to see how ‘Dhurandhar’ is working. I loved the first part, I’m yet to watch the second part.
“But Aditya is a great filmmaker, he’s got a great cast together and I’m so happy that everyone is loving the film so much and I can’t wait to catch it as soon as I go back to Mumbai,” he told PTI at the red carpet of the inaugural International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) here.
“Dhurandhar”, a spy action thriller that came out in December 2025 and earned over Rs 1300 crore worldwide, follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal syndicates and political power structures in Pakistan in an effort to dismantle a terror network targeting India.
The movie also starred Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
The sequel charts the rise of Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari in the Karachi underworld while also delving into his origins as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, tracing the journey of the young man who eventually transforms into the covert operative.
The International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD) 2026 will screen 140 films from 47 countries across multiple venues in the national capital.
The song Sarke Chunar from KD The Devil faces backlash over its lyrics. Director Prem now denies any intent for deliberately creating controversy for buzz.
Prem has directed the film KD The Devil
The song Sarke Chunar from KD The Devil has sparked controversy, from backlash over its lyrics to a reported fatwa against actor Nora Fatehi, who features in the track. Amid allegations that the outrage was orchestrated for publicity, director Prem has denied any such intent.
“I don’t want any controversy. Mine is an emotional film, and the song is meant to be something people dance to at parties. It’s been well received in Karnataka and Kerala. Why would I want controversy?” he says.
Prem explains that while he wrote the original Kannada lyrics, the Hindi version was translated by lyricist Raqueeb Alam. He admits he was unaware of the specific wording that later drew criticism. “Everything went smoothly with the Kannada original. I didn’t understand the Hindi words used in translation as I am not fluent in the language. I come from a village where phrases like ‘neeche mat gira, uthao’ are part of everyday speech, it’s Janapada,” he adds.
Kunal Kohli praised the box office success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. He expressed admiration for Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar for showing the true potential of Indian cinema.

Director Kunal Kohli criticised filmmakers who believe in inflating their film’s collections to create the surrounding hype at the box office. The Hum Tum director spoke about the success of the espionage thriller, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, expressing admiration for actor Ranveer Singh and director Aditya Dhar for showing the “true potential” of Indian cinema.
“Even fake collections don’t reach Rs 100 crore,” Kohli noted, highlighting the practice of artifical box office figures. He contrasted this with the genuine success of Dhurandhar, which has been consistently bringing in numbers through legitimate ticket sales.
“Fake collections kar kar ke bhi you are not doing Rs 100 crores for the entire lifetime collection of your film. This is doing 100 crores a day with genuine collections. Thank you Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh, Jio Studios for showing us the way and the potential of our cinema,” the director said in a video on Instagram.
What did Kunal say about Dhurandhar 2 box office collection?
Kohli shared an Instagram video in which he congratulated Dhar, Singh, and Jio Studios, acknowledging that they had managed to earn more than Rs 100 crore in a single day, twice. The popular director said, “Congratulations Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh, and Jio Studios. You all have earned 100 crores+ a day, twice. Dhurandhar has, of course, become the biggest hit of Indian cinema, which is wonderful.”
He spoke about the true potential of the Indian box office, describing its impact as nothing short of phenomenal. Emphasising how deeply “desi (local)” stories and indigenous themes connect with viewers, the filmmaker urged other directors to avoid being distracted by Western concepts. Instead, he encouraged them to remain focused on creating what he calls authentic Indian stories that stay true to its roots.
“The important parts of the film that I would like to highlight about this film and what it has done: it has shown us the true potential of the Indian box office. Phenomenal. It has shown us that desi subjects and stories work like nothing else. Let’s not be influenced by western subjects and ideas; let’s make desi films,” Kohli added.
He also said, “Heroes ko mard hona chahiye (Heroes must be men). Hindi films ke heroes ko mard hona chahiye (Hindi film heroes need to be manly). Not some lost, confused boy. That’s what Saiyaara was. That’s what Dhurandhar is. Look at the numbers. Genuine collection.”

The song Sarke Chunar from director Prem’s upcoming Kannada film, KD: The Devil, has landed in controversy over its suggestive lyrics.
Director Prem’s wife, Rakshita, has broken her silence on the controversy surrounding the song Sarke Chunar.
The song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from the upcoming release KD: The Devil, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt, has come under fire for its suggestive lyrics and choreography. The film is written and directed by Prem. His wife, former actor Rakshita, has now broken her silence on the controversy and shared that she wants to understand why the selective outrage over this song only.
What Rakshita said
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Rakshita penned a series of notes to address the matter. She began, “Yes yes I have seen it all. I know you guys are tagging me in random people’s posts. the fact is I know what’s written. I know what’s happening. My stand on whether I am for it or against it doesn’t matter, when songs like Peelings, Dreamum Wakeupum, like Choli ke Peeche or 100s like these came out it seemed fine. When an entire film came out talking about how the actors just spoke about have sexual intercourse throughout the film it seemed fine. but one song creates massive news. still not justifying, just asking so I can understand this.”
She went on to add that just because of one song, the writer’s entire body of work cannot be questioned and diminished. “One song doesn’t mean he is a horrible writer or does everything for gimmicks? Wrong. Just because some films don’t do well as the others doesn’t mean he is a bad maker… wrong. Do you have the rights to question him? Yes you do have the rights to ask him why, yes you do. Do you have the rights to abuse him? Nooo you don’t. When you abuse him or like some random lady spat badly saying it was personal?”
‘Today people are watching more bloodshed films, sexual content in films’
Rakshita went on to add that people should have some ‘basic knowledge’ how to talk about others. She went on to add that there have been countless times when ‘random people’ have spoken badly about her. She added, “Songs are made everyday, bad, good, provocative, special numbers. Today people are watching more bloodshed films, sexual content in films, everything pretty openly. Prem is a Kannadiga as much all of you are. You all have the rights on him, to question him, to tell him what is right and what is not, but saying anything about his past work about how gimmicky he [is], let me tell you something today selling a film to an OTT, a channel, is the biggest challenge for a Kannada director… he finds it extremely difficult to reach at any heights or even close to other cinema markets. Even our people, bringing them to theatres is a very tough job. This is not just our story, this is every film in sandalwood.”
She went on to share that abusing someone for their work shows the ‘other reality of social media’ and that should not be the case. She then said that everything will be fine in a couple of days and asked for some time from fans. She concluded, “Thanks for all the concerned ones. I am truly grateful. I am here and so is Prem. KD is our baby and we will do what’s right at the end and only the right. Trust us and smile more, love and love only.”
Recently, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also issued a notice over the alleged use of objectionable and double-meaning lyrics in the song.
Nora Fatehi’s song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke slammed for ‘vulgar’ lyrics.
Amid the controversy surrounding Kannada pan-India film KD: The Devil’s recently released song Sarke Chunar Teri, director Prem’s wife has come out in his defence. My stand on whether I am for it or against it doesn’t matter, when songs like Peelings, Dreamum Wakeupum, like Choli ke Peeche or 100s like these came out it seemed fine. When an entire film came out talking about how the actors just spoke about have sexual intercourse throughout the film it seemed fine. but one song creates massive news. still not justifying, just asking so I can understand this,” she wrote, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
Rakshita further slammed those questioning Prem’s directorial skills and added, “One song doesn’t mean he is a horrible writer or does everything for gimmicks?
The director’s wife also talked about how sexual content in films is increasing and asked why nobody questions that. She further hit back at those questioning her husband’s Kannadiga identity and made it clear by saying, “Prem is a Kannadiga as much all of you are.”
“Songs are made everyday, bad, good, provocative, special numbers. Today people are watching more bloodshed films, sexual content in films, everything pretty openly. Prem is a Kannadiga as much all of you are. Rakshita concluded by saying that KD “is our baby and we will do what’s right at the end and only the right. Trust us and smile more, love and love only.”
What Is The Controversy?
On March 15, the makers of the upcoming Kannada pan-India film KD: The Devil launched the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke starring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt. While a section of viewers appreciated Nora’s high-energy performance, a significant number of social media users criticised the track, calling out its lyrics as “vulgar.”
Recently, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) also issued a notice over the alleged use of objectionable and double-meaning lyrics in the song. Additionally, advocate and social activist Vineet Jindal also filed a complaint with the cyber cell of the Delhi Police, asking for legal action against the makers of the track. He alleged in the complaint that the track has obscene lyrics not suitable for public consumption, especially given the fact that the track is available on various digital platforms.

David Dhawan praises Govinda, calls him an incredible actor.
Filmmaker David Dhawan has collaborated with Govinda in as many as 17 films, and a majority of them turned out to be major box-office successes. However, many directors and Govinda’s co-actors have often complained about him arriving late on set and making others wait. Now, in the latest episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, David Dhawan defended Govinda against the allegations of being late on set.
David Dhawan defends Govinda
David praised Govinda, calling him one of the best actors he has ever worked with. He said, “Here I want to tell you, log bolte hain na late aata hai sets par, aaj kaun nahi late aata hai? Woh aata hai, apna kaam khatam kar ke jaata hai (People say that he comes late to the sets, but tell me who doesn’t arrive late these days? He arrives, completes his work and then leaves).”
The filmmaker added, “And you will not believe it. He would show up and ask for his scene. It would be a four-page scene. He would go through it thoroughly while I was setting up the shot. He said, ‘Don’t set it up yet. Do one thing. Here’s the scene. Watch me perform. I’ll do it in one take.’ This was in Partner. He did all kinds of acrobatics in that scene; you can’t imagine. Then he told me to edit the scene however I wanted. Unbelievable. Govinda is incredible.”
David made his directorial debut with the 1989 film Taaqatwar, which featured Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Neelam Kothari, and Anita Raj. After this, they went on to work together in several successful films, including Shola Aur Shabnam, Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, and Biwi No. 1, among others.

The film stars Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, along with Jimmy Shergill, Mouni Roy, and Rohit Saraf in key roles.

The post from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang also contained a direct threat to Badshah, accusing the singer of attempting to “spoil Haryana’s culture.”
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has issued a death threat to popular Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah.
The Lawrence Bishnoi Gang has claimed responsibility for a recent firing incident in Panipat and issued a death threat to popular Bollywood rapper and singer Badshah through a message circulated on social media.
According to reports, unidentified assailants opened fire outside an office linked to alleged hawala operations on Assandh Road in Panipat. Soon after the incident, a message surfaced online in which individuals claiming to be associated with the gang took responsibility for the attack.
In the message, two persons identifying themselves as Randeep Malik and Anil Pandit, reportedly based in the United States, claimed they had orchestrated the firing. The note alleged that the targeted office belonged to individuals involved in illegal hawala transactions and accused them of sending money abroad, thereby harming the country’s economy.
The message began with religious slogans and warned people engaged in hawala activities to stop immediately or face severe consequences. It stated that those running such operations had already been warned earlier but failed to heed the warning, adding that the Panipat firing was “just a trailer” and that more action could follow.
The note also contained a direct threat aimed at Badshah. In the message, the singer was accused of attempting to “spoil Haryana’s culture.” The post referred to an earlier incident in 2024 in which the gang allegedly tried to intimidate him at a club, claiming it was merely a warning. It further threatened that the next time the attack would be more serious.
Badshah, whose real name is Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, is one of India’s most well-known rappers and playback singers and has delivered several hit tracks in Bollywood and the Punjabi music industry.
The development comes at a time when the singer is already facing legal trouble, with reports suggesting that the Haryana Police may take action against him in a separate matter.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan called South Africa “the stupidest team” of the T20 World Cup.
Michael Vaughan called South Africa “the stupidest team” of the T20 World Cup (PTI)
Former England captain Michael Vaughan believes South Africa were the “stupidest team” of the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2026, and it was their mistake that led to India walking away with the silverware for the third time. He said that had the Proteas allowed the West Indies to beat them at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad then India would have had an uphill task to make it to the semi-finals, and would have been eliminated from the competition, where they eventually went on to create history by winning the World Cup for the first time on home soil and also defending the title for the first time.
In the Super 8s, India lost the opening match against South Africa by 76 runs, and this result left the Men in Blue needing to win their next two matches against Zimbabwe and the West Indies. However, that might not have been enough had the Windies beaten South Africa, as Shai Hope’s team had already won their opening game against Zimbabwe.
However, Aiden Markram’s South Africa managed to thwart the challenge of the West Indies, and India also won the remaining two games, leading to the Proteas and India qualifying from Group 1 of the Super 8s for the semis. A few days after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, Vaughan said that the Proteas should have looked to eliminate India, as the hosts were the best side in the tournament.
“I tell you, who I think is the stupidest team of the tournament? South Africa. Because if South Africa had allowed the West Indies to beat them in the Super 8s, India would have been knocked out. I’m just saying – if they had cleared them out, the juggernaut that was coming would have stopped,” Vaughan said on the Stick to Cricket podcast.
“By winning that game, they allowed the juggernaut to go on. India then beat Zimbabwe, then the West Indies in a kind of quarterfinal, and then England. South Africa had to play Zimbabwe next, and they even rested three players for that match,” he added.
‘Eliminate the best team’
The 51-year-old said the best way to keep the best team in the tournament from winning the T20 World Cup was to knock them out, and hence the Proteas clearly missed a chance to do the needful.

Talking about the bug that came to her mind about exploring the West, Priyanka Chopra said she started feeling limited in India.
After making a name in Bollywood, Priyanka walked towards the West with a lead role in ABC’s Quantico in 2015. (Instagram)
It was in 2015 that Priyanka Chopra began her journey in the West with her role in Quantico. Now, a decade later, after establishing herself in the global entertainment industry, the actor has opened up about navigating tense relationships in India at the peak of her career. Reflecting on that phase, Priyanka said she doesn’t like to “stay in s**t,” implying that it pushed her to explore opportunities and build a career in Hollywood.
Priyanka on tense relationships in Bollywood
Recently, Priyanka joined Amanda Hirsch’s Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, where she spoke about her decision to venture into the West.
When asked about the bug that came to her mind about exploring the American film industry, Priyanka said, “When I was working back in India, I started feeling limited… I wanted to be able to see what else was out there. Besides Mindy Kaling and Aishwarya Rai, there were very few female or male Indian actors in Hollywood. And I was like why don’t we have that representation. It made me think of myself as that girl who was in the 9th grade in America, where nobody looks like me… I didn’t think about it (much) at that time, but as someone who was starting to seek work in Hollywood, I thought where do I stand? How do I begin?… It came from the need to want and see what the possibilities were there.”
During the chat, Priyanka was also questioned about “tense relationships with some of the stuff going on in India with the movie scene”.
To this, Priyanka responded, “Nothing is an easy ride. We all have battles that we have to handle. I am someone who just doesn’t like staying in the s**t because then you get used to the smell. I am a big believer in pivoting. When life gets tough, we are so resilient as human beings, we have the ability to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, take a minute to feel emotional and feel the pain, and then pivot.”
She admitted that she has done that many times in her career, adding that there was no clear path for her when she decided to try her luck in Hollywood. Priyanka said that there wasn’t much of a precedent before her, so she gave it a shot, mentioning that the only thing she knew was that “I’m a hard worker and I know my job. Put me on a set with any filmmaker or co-actor, and I’ll stand toe-to-toe”.
Priyanka’s journey in the West
After making a name in Bollywood, Priyanka walked towards the West with a lead role in ABC’s Quantico in 2015. And she has not looked back since then. Priyanka made her Hollywood debut in a negative role with Baywatch in 2017, which also featured Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. The actor went on to be part of projects such as Matrix: Revolutions, Citadel, Love Again, and Isn’t It Romantic. At the moment, Priyanka stays in the US with her husband Nick Jonas. They have a daughter together, Malti Marie.

The video shows him pointing firmly towards the audience with a stern expression as he urged them to calm down. Speaking in Telugu, he requested the crowd to stay quiet, saying, “Can you all be silent, please?”
He then repeated the instruction in English, saying, “I said quiet… quiet.” Although the cheers continued briefly, the audience soon settled, drawing a measured response from the star, “Good. Thanks.”
The video has sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms. “They actually listened… nice,” one social media user wrote, with another writing, “It’s good when celebrities remind people of decency otherwise they shout and make a nuisance, atleast they listen to their favorite celebrities word.” Another social media user shared, “He knows how to control his audience.”
Meanwhile, several videos captured the chaos at the event. Some clips show fans shouting slogans, waving at the actor, and attempting to move closer to him despite security arrangements at the venue. In the rush to enter the building and reach the area where the actor was expected to appear, several fans reportedly crowded onto an escalator inside the hospital complex. The uncontrolled movement damaged the escalator, forcing authorities to temporarily halt access to that section of the building. Police personnel deployed at the venue had to intervene to restore order as the crowd continued to push forward. Reports said officers had to resort to a mild lathi charge to disperse fans and bring the situation under control.
What’s next for Jr NTR
Jr NTR was most recently seen in the action thriller War 2, which hit screens in August 2025. The film marked his much-talked-about debut in Bollywood, where he shared screen space with Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. However, the big-budget entertainer failed to elicit expected response at the box office. The film earned ₹364 crore worldwide, less than part 1, and much lower than its break-even point.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are among the most popular couples in Bollywood. Recently, an inside video from the wedding also went viral, in which the actress was seen dancing to Salman Khan’s popular song, Salaam-E-Ishq. This wedding marked Aishwarya and Abhishek’s second joint appearance this month, much to the delight of their fans.
Earlier, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan attended the wedding ceremony of Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, and entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok, which took place on March 5, 2026, in Mumbai.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were among the first guests from the film fraternity to attend the wedding ceremony of Arjun and Saaniya. For the day, Aishwarya opted for a stunning, heavily embroidered light blue suit set. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan complemented his lady love in white pants and a black bandhgala.
For the unversed, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai tied the knot in 2007 and are parents to a girl, Aaradhya Bachchan. However, rumours of trouble in their marriage shocked everyone last year. It all started after the couple appeared separately for the media at a wedding.
On Saturday, at an event organised to celebrate International Women’s Day in Mamallapuram on behalf of his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), Vijay addressed the controversy.

Standing before a hall of women party workers on Saturday, actor-turned-politician Vijay sought to calm a storm brewing around his personal life in recent days, urging his supporters to look past what he described as “recent problems” and focus instead on the welfare of people.
“There are some issues running around in the recent past, isn’t it?” Vijay said, addressing cadres at a Women’s Day event organised by his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK). “I see all of you busy fighting those allegations and getting hurt. In fact, I get hurt seeing that you get hurt. I will take care of all that. Let’s get involved in people’s problems. Don’t get hurt about that problem — it’s not worth bothering about. Be confident. Only good things will happen.”
The remarks, delivered to loud applause from the audience, were Vijay’s first public comments since details of a legal dispute with his wife, Sangeetha, began circulating widely in the media and on social networks. Earlier in the day, new details emerged from a petition she filed in the district court at Chengalpattu seeking an interim order allowing her to continue residing in the couple’s home along Chennai’s East Coast Road while their divorce case is pending.
Vijay did not mention the case directly during his speech. But the timing of his remarks — and the intensity of debate surrounding the issue — left little doubt among supporters that he was responding to the public discussion. The personal dispute has become intertwined with a broader political moment for the 51-year-old star, who entered politics in 2024 by launching TVK and is widely expected to face his first electoral test as a CM candidate in the next Assembly election.
In recent weeks, discussion of his personal life has spilled into the political arena and across social media, drawing in rival parties and prompting fervent responses from his large fan base. Much of the latest controversy began after BJP’s Tamil Nadu president, Nainar Nagendran, made remarks linking Vijay with actor Trisha. The comments ignited a wave of online debate and speculation. The actress later issued a statement rejecting the suggestion outright. Nagendran subsequently apologised for his remarks.
But the episode triggered a fresh round of scrutiny around Vijay’s private life. Around the same time, copies of Sangeetha Vijay’s divorce petition began circulating online, intensifying speculation and fuelling further arguments among supporters and critics alike.
According to a senior TVK leader familiar with internal discussions, the public narrative that quickly formed around the dispute did not reflect the nature of the conversations that had been taking place privately.
“It was very unfortunate that a personal matter was dragged into a public debate like this,” the leader said. “There had been efforts toward a mutual solution. The understanding was that it would be resolved at an appropriate time, possibly after the elections. But the political remarks and the subsequent clarifications triggered more revelations about the case.”
The debate was further inflamed two days earlier when Vijay appeared at a wedding event alongside the actress, an appearance that quickly went viral and sparked another round of commentary online. Critics used the moment to question the actor’s personal choices, while party supporters rushed to defend him across social media platforms.
For TVK cadres, the controversy has arrived at a delicate moment. The party has been working to build momentum ahead of its first major electoral contest, projecting Vijay as a political alternative in Tamil Nadu’s crowded field.
Saturday’s event, intended to celebrate International Women’s Day and mobilise the party’s women cadres, thus unfolded against an unusually charged backdrop.

Sangeetha filed the divorce petition in December, claiming that while the early years of their marriage were cordial, she discovered in April 2021 that Vijay was involved in an adulterous relationship with an actress. The petition states that this caused her “deep emotional pain and mental suffering,” amounting to a betrayal and violation of marital trust.
The petition further alleges that although Vijay initially assured her the relationship would end, the association continued, leading to mental cruelty, public humiliation arising from social media posts, emotional neglect and constructive desertion. It also claims that attempts at reconciliation were made between September 2021 and February 2022, and again between August 2024 and February 2025 through counsels and personal discussions, but these efforts failed to result in an amicable settlement.

Lara Dutta on Wednesday shared she is stuck in Dubai with her daughter Saira. She praised the UAE government for ensuring the safety of citizens.
Lara Dutta got emotional while sharing a video from Dubai.
In a series of updates, actor Lara Dutta opened up about being “stressed out” and “nervous” as she lives in Dubai amidst the sudden escalation of the US-Iran conflict. The actor is in Dubai with her daughter Saira, and she explained what was supposed to be a regular brand-related trip has taken a frightening turn.
Lara recounted a harrowing experience at a studio where she heard explosions and witnessed missiles being intercepted midair. Currently, the wife of tennis veteran Mahesh Bhupathi is eager to wrap up her commitments and return home to the safety of Mumbai.
“We have been in Dubai since the start of this Israel-Iran war, what’s being termed the Israel-Iran war. UAE, Dubai, has been my home now for the last three years. I have spent a considerable amount of time here. I was actually shooting on the 28th at a studio in Dubai,” she said, adding: “We started hearing the explosions overhead, ran out of the studio, and saw missiles being intercepted. It’s been a few, I can’t lie, stressful days. I have my daughter here with me, Mahesh was away for work, he wasn’t in Dubai thankfully.”
The actor also spoke about witnessing fighter jets overhead and hearing loud booms. “But I just want to say that we are nervous, and it’s been scary. Lots of fighter jets flying overhead, lots of loud booms. Though we live in a villa in a very safe neighbourhood, the windows shake, the house and the doors rattle, and it’s unnerving. But I haven’t felt unsafe, not even once,” she added.
While expressing gratitude to the UAE government, she emphasised, “I just want to say that the UAE government has done an incredible job. I think, for every single person – I won’t speak for anybody else – we felt really looked after. We felt wanted, we felt protected, regardless of our nationality or where we’re from.”
“We feel like we count, we matter. The UAE government, as a resident, as somebody living in this city, is making sure they do everything in their power to protect us and keep us safe. I’m amazed. My gardener has been showing up every day mowing up my lawn, watering the plants,” the actor went on.
At the end of the video, Lara spoke with tears in her eyes. She said, “I’ve so much respect and admiration for just ordinary, normal people who don’t have a choice of looking at wanting to get out, who are keeping this country running. We are actually looking at flights; there aren’t too many, but there are some, Etihad and Emirates. But we are looking at flights to try and get back to Mumbai. More so, because I think the kids are a lot more nervous about this. We are as well, as grown-ups. We keep it together for the kids. So we are looking at flights and trying to get out by some means.”
Lara also spoke about the conflict between India and Pakistan last year. “I was in India when India and Pakistan went to war. We saw how well our country protected us there. It’s the same here,” she said.
“No civilian deserves to live in fear or to be caught up in a war that is destabilising the entire region. I hope common sense will prevail. Better judgment will prevail with everybody who’s making these decisions. Until then. We continue,” she concluded.
The trailer of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge was reportedly postponed from March 3 due to a Chandra Grahan, with makers now planning a digital release on March 5 or 6.

The trailer of Dhurandhar: The Revenge was reportedly going to be released on March 3, 2026, but these claims were later called untrue. However, a new update suggests that the makers were indeed planning to release the trailer of the Ranveer Singh starrer, but postponed it after discovering that the country would witness a Chandra Grahan on Tuesday from 3:20 pm to 6:47 pm.
As per a Bollywood Hungama source, “Reports of Dhurandhar: The Revenge’s trailer release on March 3 weren’t mere rumours. The makers genuinely planned to unveil it that day. But they were later informed that March 3 witnesses a Chandra Grahan (lunar eclipse), which is considered inauspicious for new beginnings. The inauspicious period is said to be from 9:39 am to 6:46 pm. Trailers are usually launched around noon, and this timing falls within the window. Hence, the team decided to postpone the trailer release.”
With this change in the film’s trailer release date, fans may get a glimpse of the upcoming action thriller on March 5 or 6. It will be released digitally, skipping a grand event.
What Do We Know About Dhurandhar 2?
After the massive success of Dhurandhar, everyone is now eagerly waiting for the film’s sequel, which will hit theatres on March 19. Last month, the CBFC cleared the first promotional glimpse of the sequel, granting it an A (Adults Only) certificate. The teaser’s approved runtime stands at 1 minute and 48 seconds, signalling a sharp, intense preview that stays true to the franchise’s gritty action-thriller tone.
It should also be noted that Dhurandhar 2, directed by Aditya Dhar, will hit theatres on March 19, 2026. This means that the film will clash at the box office with Yash’s most-awaited movie, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur’s Dacoit will also be released on the same day.

Sonal Chauhan, stranded in Dubai amid Iran crisis, seeks help from PM Modi. The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi assures support for Indian passengers affected by airspace closure.
Sonal Chauhan is stranded in Dubai.
Indian actress Sonal Chauhan has sought help from authorities after finding herself stranded in Dubai amid regional tensions and widespread flight cancellations. The actress made a public appeal to the Indian government, saying she was unable to travel back home due to the disruption in air services.
Chauhan addressed Narendra Modi through social media, explaining her situation. In her message, she wrote, “Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, I am currently stranded in Dubai due to the ongoing crisis.”
Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji,
I am currently stranded in Dubai due to the ongoing crisis, with flights cancelled and no clear way to return to India. I respectfully seek the Government’s guidance for a safe journey home
Grateful for any support extended🙏🏻🇮🇳@MEAIndia@IndiainDubai
The travel disruption comes against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East following strikes involving the United States and Israel targeting locations in Iran. The situation has led to precautionary restrictions on airspace movement in parts of the Gulf region, affecting international travel.
The actress said she had no confirmed route to return to India after flight operations were suspended. She added, “With flights canceled and no clear way to return to India, I respectfully seek the Government’s guidance for a safe journey home. Grateful for any support extended.”
Chauhan’s post received public attention online, with some social media users urging authorities to help affected passengers. One comment read, “Requesting concerned authorities to please look into this urgently. Citizens’ safety should be the top priority.” Others suggested that she contact the Indian diplomatic mission for assistance.
Known for her work in Hindi and Telugu cinema, Chauhan rose to popularity after her debut in the film Jannat (2008 film), where she starred opposite Emraan Hashmi. Before entering films, she worked as a model and won the title of Miss World Tourism 2005, gaining recognition for her modelling career.
In response to the situation, the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi stated that it was coordinating with local authorities and airlines. The embassy said it is maintaining contact with UAE officials and airline operators to help Indian passengers affected by the temporary closure of airspace.
Suniel Shetty attributed Shah Rukh Khan’s success to his charm and minimal social media presence, contrasting him with younger actors.
Suniel Shetty says Shah Rukh Khan is not about social media like Ranbir Kapoor.
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is one of the few stars loved across generations. His stardom extends globally, not just within India. In a recent podcast with Raj Shamani, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty explained why other actors have not been able to achieve the level of stardom that SRK enjoys.
Suniel Shetty talks about Shah Rukh Khan’s unmatched stardom
When asked why no other actor has been able to build the kind of stardom Shah Rukh Khan did, Suniel said, “Because he had music. In India, music matters. He had Yash ji with him and the best songs. His commitment to his craft. Reinventing and inventing himself all the time, the grace. He’s complete from a human perspective. The respect he gives and expects — he’s there when he’s needed.”
Suniel added, “He’s not about social media. He’s not about posting. He has a yesteryear charm, which many of the earlier stars had. The kids of this generation believe that social media is the way forward, that news needs to be put out. But these guys aren’t that way. Like Ranbir — his charm is that he’s not there. He’s there where his work is. His work speaks and the rest is for you to imagine.”
While Shah Rukh is active on social media, he mostly uses it to promote his upcoming projects. However, Ranbir Kapoor is not on social media. The actor has revealed that he scrolls through social media via a private account but refuses to create a public profile or reveal details about his private one.
About Shah Rukh Khan’s stardom and upcoming movie
Shah Rukh is often referred to as the last of the superstars. His stardom goes far beyond box office numbers or blockbusters. He began his career in television before making it big in Bollywood. The actor first gained recognition for his villainous roles in Baazigar and Darr. He later established himself as the king of romance with films such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Devdas, Dil To Pagal Hai, Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Veer-Zaara.
Over the years, he delivered major blockbusters including Om Shanti Om, Chak De! India, Don 2 and Chennai Express. After a significant box office setback in 2018, Shah Rukh took a break before returning to the big screen in 2023.
A division bench of the Kerala High Court stayed the order by a single judge bench, which imposed a 15-day interim delay on the release of ‘The Kerala Story 2’.
The matter on ‘Kerala Story 2’ will be heard again on Thursday.
In a big relief for the producers of ‘The Kerala Story 2’, a division bench of the Kerala High Court stayed a single bench order for an interim stay on the release of the movie for 15 days. The decision has cleared the way for the movie’s release, scheduled for today.
A single bench led by Justice Bechu Kurien Thomas passed the interim order while hearing a batch of petitions challenging the clearance granted by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The bench observed that the petitioner’s apprehension regarding the film is “probably genuine” and asked the makers to wait for the court’s final decision.
A bench of justices Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari and P V Balakrishnan passed the order on the appeal moved by the film’s producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah late Thursday night, hours after the movie’s release was stayed. The bench had reserved order in the appeal on Thursday night.
Shah, in his appeal to the high court, had claimed that the film does not harm or denigrate the state of Kerala or any religious community. “The film only portrays a social evil,” his lawyers had told the court.
The producer also told the court that if the film’s release was put on hold, it would “financially finish” the producers as the movie is set to be screened in 1,500 theatres in India and over 300 abroad on February 27.
Why Was ‘Kerala Story 2’ Release Delayed?
A single-judge bench on Thursday stayed the release of the film on the grounds that there was a manifest non-application of mind to the requirement of law by the censor board, CBFC. The judge also said that “the possibility of communal disharmony or denigration of a community also being prima facie involved in the movie”, its release without scrutiny by the higher authorities would be legally improper.
The bench said the CBFC did not follow the guidelines properly while granting certification, and there seems to be a clear disregard of the applicable law, requiring this Court’s intervention. The court further noted that the teaser and trailer had the potential to disturb communal harmony and directed that the film should not be released until the legal arguments were fully addressed.
The sequel has been facing backlash over its portrayal of Indian Muslims and allegations that it makes exaggerated claims. A petition was filed by biologist Sreedev Namboodiri in the Kerala High Court, seeking a stay on the film’s release and public exhibition.

That wasn’t all. Rashmika Mandanna continued to shower more praise on him and credited him for making her into the woman she is today. The Kerala High Court division bench on Thursday reserved its judgment on the appeal filed by the producer of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, challenging the single judge’s interim order that stayed the film’s release.
The movie was originally scheduled to hit theatres tomorrow, February 27.
The bench examined the legality of the single judge’s decision to put the release on hold for 15 days, despite the film having received certification.
During the hearing, the judges observed that the petitions opposing the film’s certification appeared to be in the nature of a public interest litigation and questioned how such pleas had been entertained at the initial stage.
With the division bench now reserving orders, the fate of the film’s release hinges on the forthcoming judgment.
Earlier today, the Kerala High Court ordered a two-week interim stay on the release of the Hindi film.
The film, directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under Sunshine Pictures, had been embroiled in controversy since the release of its promotional material.
The makers had consistently maintained that the story was inspired by “true incidents”.
The High Court had been hearing a petition filed by Sreedev Namboodiri, who sought the cancellation of the film’s U/A certificate. In his plea, he argued that The Kerala Story 2 portrayed Kerala and its people in a negative light and perpetuated harmful stereotypes.
During the proceedings, the court criticised the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), stating that it appeared to have cleared the film without adequately applying its mind. The bench observed that the Board must take the petitioner’s concerns into proper consideration.
Ranveer Allahbadia spoke about India’s Got Latent row when filmmaker Farah Khan visited his home in her latest vlog.
Last year, Ranveer Allahbadia landed in legal trouble after making comments about parents and sex on comedian Samay Raina’s show.
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia recently opened up about one of the most turbulent chapters of his life, revisiting the controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent last year. Describing the episode as a “kaand”, Ranveer said only a handful of people stood by him at the time, with actor John Abraham being among the five who reached out in support.
Ranveer looks back
Ranveer spoke about that phase of his life when filmmaker Farah Khan visited his home in her latest vlog.
When Farah asked the YouTuber about the row, he repeatedly referred to the episode as a “kaand”. Ranveer said, “My podcast was stopped after that, I had to bear a lot. I just pray from God to just return me my work. I just wanted opportunity to work because we were not even able to shoot.”
Following this, Farah told Ranveer, “Never waste a good failure, always work from it. Put your head down and work.”
To this, Ranveer added, “John Abraham sir called me and said the same thing. He had called specially. He told me to handle myself and told me that this is normal in the media. Sonu Nigam, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, and Yuzvendra Chahal also called me during that time… I couldn’t change the past, but I could change the future. I got a forced break after a crazy, intense six-year podcasting journey. I’m just trying to move on; I’ve tried to forgive a lot of people, even myself, and to a degree, I’ve been successful.”
What do we know about the India’s Got Latent row
In February last year, Ranveer Allahbadia, along with Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Mukhija, appeared on the panel of Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. However, Ranveer’s remarks about parents and sex on the show sparked backlash, with multiple FIRs filed against him, Samay, Apoorva, and Ashish. The action was based on accusations that they promoted obscenity and engaged in sexually explicit conversations during the YouTube show, which was accessible to the public. The show faced intense criticism after Ranveer made ‘sex with parents’ comments.

Following their Udaipur wedding, the couple is expected to host a lavish reception in Hyderabad on March 4, 2026. The celebration will reportedly be held at Taj Krishna, with several Tollywood and Bollywood stars likely to attend. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is also expected to grace the event.
Rajpal Yadav, out on interim bail, gets emotional at his niece’s wedding, expressing gratitude to wife Radha for her unwavering support during his legal troubles.
Rajpal Yadav has been granted interim bail.
Rajpal Yadav, who attended his niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur, is currently out of jail on interim bail after the High Court suspended his sentence until the next hearing, which is scheduled for March 18. Several videos of Rajpal Yadav from the wedding ceremony have surfaced on social media. As the actor has come out of jail, he has expressed his gratitude towards his wife for supporting him and keeping the family together.
Speaking about his wife, Radha Yadav, Rajpal shared, “Even if I take birth multiple times, I won’t be able to repay her debt (or the favour she has done for me). She has held the entire family together and supported me through everything.”
Rajpal also spoke about the ongoing cheque bounce case and stated, “The matter is sub judice (under consideration in court), so I won’t say much right now. Soon, along with my legal team, I will present my full side with all evidence and facts in front of the media.”
About the Cheque Bounce Case and Arrest
Back in 2010, Rajpal Yadav had borrowed ₹5 crore from Delhi-based Murli Projects Pvt Ltd to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. The film did not perform at the box office, and the loan remained unpaid. Court records show that seven cheques issued later bounced.
In 2024, the court had directed the actor to show sincere measures to repay the dues, but in February 2026, the court ordered him to surrender, as there were multiple breaches of undertakings to repay the amount. Before surrendering, Rajpal spoke to Bollywood Hungama and made an emotional remark.
Speaking about failing to repay the amount even after years, Rajpal shared with Bollywood Hungama, “Sir, kya karoon? Mere paas paise nahin hain. Aur koi upaay nahin dikhta (Sir, what to do? I don’t have the money to pay back. I can’t see another way out).”
In a recent chat with Hindustan Times, Rajpal Yadav opened up about how he spent time in jail. He also reflected on the most challenging part of his time behind bars.
Veteran lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar has strongly criticised the new penal code introduced in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan that permits domestic violence against women. He raised concerns about the legal sanctioning of abuse and its far-reaching implications for women’s safety and rights.

Javed Akhtar on Saturday reacted to the newly-introduced penal code in Taliban-ruled Afghanistan that, the veteran lyricist and screenwriter noted in an X post, has legalised wife beating without bone fracture. Akhtar expressed outrage over the new penal code that says a wife is liable to be jailed if she goes to her parent’s place without the husband’s permission. He requested religious leaders to condemn the penal code.
The penal code classifies society into multiple tiers, with punishments differing based on one’s position within the hierarchy. Under the 90-page document, signed by the group’s supreme leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada, religious leaders are placed at the top, followed by elites, the middle class, and the lower class.
In an X post, Akhtar wrote: “Talibans have legalised wife beating, but without any bone fracture. If a wife goes to her parents’ place without the husband’s permission, she will be jailed for three months. I beseech the Mufties and mullas of India to condemn it unconditionally because it all is being done in the name of their religion (sic).”
Take a look at the post here:
In another post, the screenwriter referred to the Taliban as the ‘scum of the world’.
The new system means that if a religious scholar commits a crime, the maximum consequence is a warning or an “advice”. Members of the social elite may receive advice and potentially a court summons, while those in the middle class could face imprisonment. For the lower class, punishments can include both imprisonment and corporal punishment.

Ek arrogant aadmi ne socha ki main to itna good-looking hu, itni powerful position pe hu that babes I’m going to kiss you. Because I knew that I should be slapped. Meri conscious zinda thi, mujhe pata tha kaam to thappad khane wala hi kar raha hu. (My conscience was alive, I knew I was doing the work that would get me slapped.),” added the Table No. 21 actor.

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav walked out of Tihar Jail on Tuesday evening after the Delhi high court allowed his temporary release in connection with cheque bounce cases.
After coming out of the prison, the actor received unwavering support from across the country and thanked his fans for the support.
While the case has continued to grab spotlight, the businessman who filed a case against the actor has come forward, revealing his side of the story.
Businessman Gopal Agrawal, who is linked to the M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd, said after lending ₹5 crore to the actor, he has been requesting him to return the money several times, even to the extent of “crying in from of him like a child.”
In an interview with a news portal, News Pinch, Agrawal revealed his 14-year long association with Rajpal and how the issue over the unpaid loan evolved over the years.
Actor told him ‘everything would go to waste’ if he didn’t secure funds
Gopal Agarwal said that he met Rajpal Yadav through a common friend, MP Mithilesh Kumar. Yadav told them about his film Ata Pata Laapata, which was almost complete, but he didn’t have enough funds. The actor requested money from the businessman, saying “everything would go to waste” if he didn’t secure funding.
While the businessman was initially reluctant to give the money, Yadav’s wife, Radha, sent him several emotional text messages after which he agreed.
Talking about the agreement, the businessman said that the agreement was done in his office in Delhi, along with a personal guarantee by Yadav and his wife. He said that the agreement clearly stated that there would be no impact on the money due to the success or failure of the film.
Three supplementary agreements made
Three supplementary agreements were also made after the original agreement as Rajpal Yadav kept saying he did not have enough funds.
The businessman said that he went to the court after learning that a music of the film was released at an event, after which the Delhi high court put a stay on the film till Yadav complies with the businessman.
Rajpal Yadav reportedly told the businessman that he would be able to repay the money only after the film’s release. Following this, Madhav Gopal Agrawal agreed to a settlement and had the court’s stay on the movie’s release lifted. However, the film failed at the box office.
When Madhav Gopal Agrawal refused to give him the money, Rajpal Yadav’s wife Radha emotionally appealed to him by sending him several messages
Rajpal Yadav will be released from Tihar Jail today.
Actor Rajpal Yadav will be a free man today when he walks out of Delhi’s Tihar Jail after he was granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court in the Rs 9-crore debt case.
After the Bhool Bhulaiyaa actor received temporary relief from the court, the businessman who loaned the principal amount of Rs 5 crore to Rajpal Yadav to finance his 2012 film Ata Pata Laapata has now broken silence on the matter.
In an interview with News Pinch, businessman Madhav Gopal Agrawal spoke about his first meeting with Rajpal Yadav, how he gave the actor a loan of Rs 5 crore, and what has happened in the last 14 years in the long-running debt case.
In the initial days of the case, Madhav Gopal Agrawal said, he went to Rajpal Yadav’s house and “cried in front of him like a child” because he gave him money from the funds he himself had borrowed from others. He repeatedly begged Rajpal Yadav to tell him the date on which he could get the new agreement drafted.
Madhav Gopal Agrawal of M/s Murali Projects Pvt Ltd also recalled that he first met Rajpal Yadav through MP Mithilesh Kumar Katheria. According to the entrepreneur, Rajpal Yadav told him that his film Ata Pata Laapata was almost complete and if he didn’t secure funding, “everything would go to waste”.
When Madhav Gopal Agrawal refused to give him the money, Rajpal Yadav’s wife Radha emotionally appealed to him by sending him several messages. Eventually, the businessman relented and agreed to help the actor.
According to Madhav Gopal Agrawal, it was clearly written in the agreement that there will be no impact on the money due to the success or failure of the film, its censor certificate or any other issue. Rajpal Yadav will have to return the set amount on time. Rajpal Yadav also gave a personal guarantee, he claimed.
The businessman said he gave a loan and that it was not an investment, as there is no personal guarantee or cheque in investment.
When he didn’t get his money on time, Madhav Gopal Agrawal contacted Rajpal Yadav. At the time, the actor said that he doesn’t have funds, following which supplementary agreements were made three times and new cheques were given.
When megastar Amitabh Bachchan launched the music of the film at an event, Madhav Gopal Agrawal found out that according to the agreement the negatives and money were supposed to be given once the film was complete. That’s why he went to court to halt the release of the film.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma said that the Bollywood actor’s sentence will remain suspended till March 18
Rajpal Yadav and Delhi High Court
The Delhi High Court on Monday suspended Rajpal Yadav’s sentence in the cheque bounce case, paving the way for his release from jail.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma said that the Bollywood actor’s sentence will remain suspended till March 18, when the case will be heard next.
The Court passed the order after Yadav paid ₹1.5 crore to the complainant.
Yadav also told the Court that his niece is getting married on February 19.
In view of the above developments, the Court granted him interim relief.
“Interim suspension of sentence till the next date of hearing… You [Yadav] should be present in the court or remain present on VC (video conferencing). We do not want any discrepancy,” the Court said.
In May 2024, a sessions court had convicted and sentenced Yadav to six months’ jail in a cheque bounce case with dues amounting to ₹2.5 crore.
However, the High Court later suspended his sentence on the assurance of his counsel that he was willing to amicably settle the issue with the production company he was indebted to. He failed to do so.
On February 2, the High Court rejected Yadav’s explanation that the payment could not be made due to an inadvertent error in the demand draft. The Court noted that he did not take any steps to rectify the error.
Yadav had earlier sought permission to pay the dues of ₹2.5 crore in two instalments – ₹40 lakh by December 16, 2025 and the remaining ₹2.1 crore by January 15 this year. The Court on February 2 noted that Yadav had not made the payments assured by him.
Thus, it directed Yadav to surrender within two days before a jail superintendent for failing to make payments to a complainant in a cheque bounce case.
However, on February 4, he again made a plea for extension of time. This plea was rejected by the Court.
Finally, the actor surrendered on February 5.
Senior Advocate Abhijat appeared for Yadav in previous hearings.

The Court noted that Dagar has made out a case on originality though the authorship aspect needs to be examined.
Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar and AR RahmanFacebook
The Supreme Court on Friday told music composer AR Rahman that there should be “some acknowledgment” of Dhrupad vocalist Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar with respect to the song Veera Raja Veera from the film Ponniyin Selvan II [Ustad Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar Vs AR Rahman].
A Bench comprising Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi noted that Dagar has made out a case on originality though the authorship aspect needs to be examined and merely because Dagar performed first does not automatically confer authorship on him.
“In originality, you have made out a case and on authorship we will examine. First performance does not necessarily mean authorship. Your case is more of an inference from the first performance that it is authorship. But the other side brought in the Khusro version etc. Thus, this needs independent evidence from you that this was not there before the dagar tradition of singing dhrupad in sur thal,” the Court told Dagar.
The Bench also told Rahman that the Dagarwani tradition’s contribution needs to be acknowledged.
“The predecessor of the defendant were a part of the Dagarwani tradition. The originality of the tune is undisputed. If these gharanas would not have contributed to the shastriya sangeet, do you think these modern signers would have managed,” the Court told Rahman’s counsel.
“This is performed as a performance in 1991 by Gundecha brothers and many other times but he never objected. But during our rendition he objected,” Senior Advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared on behalf of Rahman, said.
“See there should be some acknowledgement. They are traditional worshippers of the classical music. He is not in the competitive domain. They want respect and recognition,” Justice Bagchi said.
Singhvi then sought time to take instructions.
The Court then proceeded to adjourn the case to be heard next on February 20, Friday.
The Court also sustained the direction of the High Court single-judge to Rahman to deposit ₹2 crore with the Registrar General of the High Court, pending disposal of the suit.
They want respect and recognition.
Supreme Court
The Court was hearing an appeal filed by Dagar against a ruling passed in September 2025 by a Division Bench of the Delhi High Court, which overturned a single-judge’s interim order in his dispute over the Veera Raja Veera song.
Dagar has claimed that the composition of the song was copied from the song Shiva Stuti, composed by his father Nasir Faiyazuddin Dagar and uncle Zahiruddin Dagar.
According to Dagar’s plea, while Veera Raja Veera contains different lyrics, its taal, beat and musical structure are identical to Shiva Stuti, which was performed globally by the Junior Dagar brothers and included in albums released by PAN Records.
Before the Delhi High Court, the song’s composer, AR Rahman, denied the allegations, stating that Shiv Stuti is a traditional composition within the Dhrupad genre, part of the public domain. It was also argued that Veera Raja Veera is an original work, composed using Western musical fundamentals with 227 distinct layers, far beyond the conventions of Hindustani classical music.
In April 2025, a single-judge of the High Court recognised a prima facie case of copyright infringement and directed that song’s credit should be shared with Dagar’s late father and uncle (Faiyazuddin Dagar and Zahiruddin Dagar), popularly known as the Junior Dagar Brothers.
It also directed Rahman and the production entities to deposit ₹2 crore with the Registrar General of the High Court, pending disposal of the suit
However, a Division Bench of the Delhi High Court later set aside the interim order, opining that Dagar had not made out a sufficient prima facie case of authorship or originality. The Division Bench found that the composition drew from the broader Dhrupad and Dagarvani tradition and could not, at the interim stage, be treated as an original work attributable exclusively to the Junior Dagar Brothers.
This Division Bench order has now been challenged before the top court.
If these gharanas would not have contributed to the shastriya sangeet, do you think these modern signers would have managed?
Supreme Court
According to Dagar’s appeal, the High Court Division Bench exceeded the permissible scope of appellate scrutiny while interfering with an interim injunction granted by the single-judge.
As per the petition, the Division Bench wrongly held that there was insufficient proof of authorship of the Dhrupad composition Shiva Stuti.
It asserts that Indian copyright law does not require musical works to be reduced to written notation, and that fixation through sound recordings constitutes valid proof of authorship.
The single-judge had earlier accepted that the 1978 Amsterdam performance recording of the composition and its commercial release by PAN Records amounted to fixation under law.
According to Dagar’s plea, the Delhi High Court’s Division Bench disregarded this settled position and incorrectly suggested that fixation is not sufficient under Indian copyright law.
Another key ground raised in Dagar’s plea before the top court is the High Court Division Bench’s treatment of Section 55(2) of the Copyright Act. This Section provides that an author whose name appears in association with a published work is presumed to be its author, unless proven otherwise.
Dagar has contended that the High Court erred in treating the provision as mandatory, when it is merely presumptive.
As per the petition, the absence of an author’s name on a publication does not defeat a claim of authorship, and that Section 55(2) only creates a rebuttable presumption, not an exclusionary rule.
During the hearing today, the Court also sought to carve out the claim made by Dagar.
“The issue is whether you (Dagar) are the creator. Of course, you can perform. It has to be seen whether you got it from the Dagar tradition and performed in 1976,” Justice Bagchi remarked
The banner has also warned of further legal action if its demands are not met within the stipulated time.
Dhanush was last seen in Tere Ishk Mein.
Tamil superstar Dhanush has landed in legal trouble. A production house named Thenandal Films has sent a legal notice to him, demanding compensation of Rs 20 crore over alleged delays linked to a long-pending film project.
As reported by Times Now, the production house has claimed that the actor signed a movie titled Naan Rudran with them in 2016 but never really shot for it. The notice, sent through the company’s legal counsel, alleged that Dhanush had initially agreed to both act in and direct the project. However, while the production house consented to changes in the plan, the actor reportedly did not provide the complete screenplay thereafter, which has stalled the project.
The notice further claimed that the delay caused significant financial losses to the makers, prompting them to demand monetary compensation to recover investments made during the early stages of production. The banner has also warned of further legal action if its demands are not met within the stipulated time.
In the notice, advocate A Chidambaram also stated that the film was stalled halfway because Dhanush gave call sheets to other films without completing work on this pending project.
However, it should also be noted that Dhanush has not reacted to the allegations as of now.
Dhanush’s Next Film
Meanwhile, Dhanush has officially announced his next film, tentatively titled D55, and the news has left fans excited. The makers took to social media to confirm that the film will be directed by Amaran director Rajkumar Periasamy. Along with the announcement, Dhanush’s photo, along with the team, was also shared recently.
Anoushka Shankar addresses claims that Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma was Pandit Ravi Shankar’s “last disciple,” clarifying he had only informal lessons and was not formally initiated.
Anoushka Shankar has clarified that sitarist Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma was never formally a disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, calling the “last disciple” narrative a misunderstanding while praising his talent.
For years, sitarist Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma has often been introduced as the “last and youngest disciple” of the legendary Pandit Ravi Shankar — a title he has referenced in several interviews while reflecting on his musical journey. Now, Pandit Ravi Shankar’s daughter and acclaimed sitar virtuoso Anoushka Shankar has addressed the claim, clarifying that Sharma was never formally initiated as her father’s disciple.
In a recent conversation with Humans Of Bombay, Anoushka spoke about the expanding horizons of the sitar and its growing presence across diverse audiences in India and globally.
“I think it’s really wonderful to see the sitar brought into its horizon the way it has, whether that’s within India or abroad. Having lots of people taking it forward is a wonderful thing. I think anyone who can challenge the notion of sitar just belonging to a certain way or certain space — all of that is wonderful.”
‘There Is Some Misunderstanding About His Guruship’
While praising Rishabh’s talent, Anoushka addressed what she described as a misconception about his musical lineage.
“Rishab is really talented and he is clearly speaking to people in a really wonderful way. I think there is some misunderstanding about his guruship. He learnt very intensively with someone very dear to me, one of my father’s senior disciples Parimal Sadaphal, and he had a couple of lessons with my father, very informally, with Parimal uncle also in the room.”
She further explained that the families have shared a long association over decades.
“We knew him from childhood because he was the son of our instrument maker Sanjay Rikiram Sharma. So somehow that has gone blown up into some story of him being his last disciple or the youngest disciple, which isn’t true. But he is super talented and deserves all success with or without that story.”
Anoushka’s remarks place the emphasis on mentorship and association rather than formal discipleship, while firmly separating fact from popular narrative.
What Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma Has Previously Said
In earlier interviews, Rishabh had shared his own account of how Pandit Ravi Shankar entered his life as a mentor.
Speaking to Bani Anand, he recalled how a video of his early performance reached the maestro.
“My father Sanjay Rikiram took over my Guruji’s sitar work after my grandfather’s demise. From my first live concert, a video reached Guruji. He saw that video and called my dad and said, ‘Is this your son you are telling me about?’ My father said yes. Guruji said, ‘Whenever I am in Delhi, please bring him over.’ Once we were there, Guruji was like, ‘OK, take out your sitar and play for me a little bit.’ I played and then he picked up his guitar and played the same composition.”
He described the moment as life-altering.
“After that he turned to my parents and said, ‘With your permission, your kid has a lot of talent, I would love to be his guru and teach him,’ and I saw my parents’ jaw drop to the floor because God himself had come down and said, ‘Can I teach your child?’ So my dad didn’t have the courage to ask him. For him to offer to be my guru was amazing.”
According to Rishabh, this marked the beginning of his lessons.
“He turned to me and said, ‘I don’t know how much life I have left, but whatever I have, please take it from me as soon as possible,’ and I said I will try my best, Guruji. And then my lessons started after that.”
In another interview with WION, he reiterated the maestro’s influence on his musical thinking.
“I have to say it’s my Guru, Pandit Ravi Shankar. Whatever I know is because of him and his disciples who taught me after his demise. They showed me his way and it was not that they just taught me his compositions, but they taught me how to think like him. Guruji always said, ‘Don’t copy me, but think like me, understand my thought process,’ and I feel like I have adapted and incorporated that into my music. Probably that is why a lot of people say that my music reminds them of Guruji.”
Anoushka Shankar On Tour
Anoushka Shankar is currently concluding her Chapters Tour 2026 in India, marking 30 years of her career. At her Kolkata concert, Arijit Singh joined her and percussionist Bickram Ghosh for an extended 20-minute set — notably his first live performance after announcing retirement from playback singing.

The bail hearing for actor Rajpal Yadav, who is currently serving a jail term in a cheque-bounce case, is scheduled for February 12. His manager, Goldie, confirmed the development to India Today and said the actor’s family is hopeful about his release.
“There is a bail hearing tomorrow, and the family is hopeful that he will be out of jail,” Goldie said.
All about Rajpal Yadav cheque-bounce case
Yadav was ordered by the Delhi High Court to serve a six-month jail term in a decade-old cheque-bounce case. The 54-year-old actor had reportedly taken Rs 5 crore from a Delhi-based businessman in 2010 to invest in his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata.
According to his lawyer, Yadav decided to surrender before the Tihar Jail authorities last week after repeated attempts to arrange the repayment over the years failed.
Industry coming forward to help
The manager also said that a large section of the film industry has come forward to support the actor financially. He named actors such as Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, and added that filmmaker David Dhawan informed him that his son, actor Varun Dhawan, would also extend help. He urged people not to malign the industry’s image.
“The whole industry is coming forward to help him at this time. Sonu Sood has publicly supported him. Actors like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn have taken the initiative, and even David Dhawan has told me that Varun will help him. I don’t want to name only a few members and unintentionally belittle the rest of the industry,” he said.
Goldie added that the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had issued a letter earlier in the day urging members to extend support. “To be honest, many people have been forthcoming, and we are hopeful that we will sail through this situation. Rajpal ji is a strong man, and he has shown absolute grit during this time,” he said.
Yadav’s manager also addressed reports about the actor’s niece’s wedding, which is scheduled for February 19. He said the wedding had been finalised two to three months ago and that the recent developments in the case could not impact the family’s plans.
“The wedding was planned almost two to three months in advance, and we could not let the current situation affect it. It’s just about a week away, and the family felt they should neither call off nor postpone the celebrations. In fact, it gives them a sense of normalcy during these tense times. As I said, we are hopeful that Rajpal ji will be back home soon. The family is praying that he is able to attend the wedding festivities,” he said.
He added that everyone is expecting a positive outcome from the bail hearing on Thursday.
