India has been working with manufacturers for indigenous drones. Not just this, an anti-drone system is also equally important for the safety and security of the country.

Drones are the future, when it comes to military operations and the Armenia-Azerbaijan and the Russia-Ukraine wars have proved that. Of course, India’s armed forces have acquired drones and the process is continuing, but now, there is a possibility of using them in counter-terror operations.
Drones can be particularly useful in the higher altitudes, both for surveillance and for strikes. They can be easily equipped with weapons. These are areas where it is more difficult for security personnel to reach without alerting the terrorists holed up there.
Already, there is a decision to ensure that drones are available at the battalion level. Now, there is a realisation that they could be useful for counter-terror operations within the country. And work towards that has begun.
