Salman Khan even reportedly refused to kiss ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif on screen.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is known for many things—his blockbuster hits, philanthropic work, fitness regime, and his unique choices in cinema. One of the most talked-about aspects of his on-screen persona is his long-standing “no-kiss” policy. Unlike many of his contemporaries in the film industry, Salman has consistently refused to perform kissing scenes on-screen, regardless of the storyline or the demands of the role.
During Salman Khan’s old appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show with Arbaaz and Sohail Khan, host Kapil Sharma poked fun at Salman’s “no-kissing” rule. Salman Khan, “Dekho kiss toh main karta nahi screen pe toh mujhe toh koi farak padta nai.”
However, it was Arbaaz Khan’s reaction that caught everyone’s attention and left them in splits. Arbaaz Khan quipped, “Woh itna kar lete hain off-screen ki zaroorat hi nahi padti!” Even Salman couldn’t help but blush at his brother’s remark.
Some believe that Salman Khan broke his rule for Karisma Kapoor in Jeet. However, others argue that Salman only kissed the actress’s chin, and that he has never budged from his policy. In 2017, Salman Khan was asked to film a kissing scene with Katrina Kaif for Tiger Zinda Hai. However, the actor reportedly refused.
Deccan Chronicle had quoted a source as saying, “Everyone felt that just this one time, just once, Salman would break his no-kissing code because the sequence is vital to the plot and also because, well, it’s Katrina. But Salman refused outright. Director Ali Abbas Zafar tried his best to convince him. However, nothing worked. The scene has been dropped now.”
Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan has ignited massive buzz online with its powerful first look. Unveiled on Friday, the motion poster shows Salman in a bloodied, battle-worn avatar, clad in uniform, with an intense moustache and fierce patriotism radiating from his expression. The project is being widely hailed as his long-awaited comeback after the underwhelming response to his last film, Sikandar.
