Former Pakistani Ambassador and Pakistan People’s Party senator Sherry Rehman had a tense conversation with Sky News journalist Yalda Hakim. Rehman was asked about Brigade 313, which the TRAC (Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium) analysts identify as an al Qaeda-affiliated umbrella group active in Pakistan.
“Brigade 313 is al-Qaeda in Pakistan,” Hakim said.
Trying to dodge the question, the Pakistani leader said, “I don’t know who told you this, but I can produce any number of pages saying all this.” “Am I going to war every time there is an attack in India?” she said.

The Sky News anchor also cited ‘Operation Sindoor,’ which targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. She said that Jaish-e-Mohammed head Masood Azhar has confirmed the death of 10 family members, signalling that the incident stands as evidence for terrorists’ presence on Pakistani soil.

In response to the same, the Pakistani leader said, “Children are not leaders.”

Rehman accepted that Pakistan’s past is linked to terrorism. “You keep on talking about the past because it was,” Rehman told Hakim on the question of Pakistan’s record of harbouring extremist elements.
