Nita Ambani sanitises Jasprit Bumrah’s palms before shaking hands amid Covid surge

A recent survey has revealed that 22 per cent of households in Maharashtra currently have one or more individuals with symptoms of Covid/flu/viral fever.

Amid India seeing a renewed flurry of Covid-19 cases, sights of people resorting to face masks and sanitisers is also making a comeback. Amidst all this, a video has emerged of Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani sanitising the hands of the IPL team players’ before shaking hands with them.

After the Mumbai Indians’ IPL match against Delhi Capitals, Nita Ambani was seen asking her team players including Jasprit Bumrah to sanitise their hands before indulging in handshakes.

Bumrah smiled and obliged his franchise owner’s instructions and spread out his palm.

After Bumrah, Ambani moved on to do the same to other players including Karn Sharma and others.

Meanwhile, a recent survey has revealed that 22 per cent of households in Maharashtra currently have one or more individuals with symptoms of Covid/flu/viral fever, a community social media platform said on Thursday. Maharashtra recorded 26 Covid-19 positive cases on Wednesday, taking the total number of positive cases registered since January 2025 to 132, according to state health authorities.
