India’s gang wars appear to have spilled far beyond its borders, with an associate of the Sunil Meena gang claiming responsibility for two shooting incidents in Portugal that allegedly targeted an Indian national.
According to a viral social media post attributed to Rahul RK Meena, a barrage of gunfire was unleashed at the alleged hideout of Gurpreet Singh Gill in Vila Nova de Milfontes, Portugal. Unverified reports circulating online claim that between 15 and 20 rounds were fired during the attack.
A video and an audio clip that surfaced on social media purportedly show individuals claiming responsibility for the shooting.
The post further alleged that the Sunil Meena gang was also behind an earlier shooting in Portugal’s Sintra region on May 6, which reportedly targeted Gill. The incidents were described as warning shots aimed at rival groups.
“These firing incidents were just warning shots. Next time, the bullet will hit your head,” the viral post said.
The message also claimed that rival gang members were fleeing Portugal and warned that they would not be able to evade retaliation.
“We will keep chasing you like a shadow across the world. You cannot escape death,” the post added.
Portuguese law enforcement authorities have not issued any official statement confirming either the shootings or the identities of those allegedly involved.
