A quiet Sunday night in Samouli village turned into a scene from a nightmare when more than 50 snakes began pouring out of farmer’s courtyard. What began as a single sighting of a 1.5-foot serpent soon escalated into a full-blown invasion, with the slithering creatures emerging relentlessly from beneath a concrete ramp near the house.

By 9 PM, the terrified villagers had killed and buried 52 snakes in a hastily dug pit. “They kept coming like a living flood,” recounted Mahfooz, farmer in whose house ordeal took place, “We called the forest department repeatedly, but no one came to help us.”

The absence of officials forced sleep deprived villagers to maintain an all night vigil, armed with sticks and lanterns. Local authorities later claimed they never received any distress calls, a statement that sparked outrage among residents who insist they made multiple attempts to alert them.
