An Iranian conservative newspaper has published an infographic naming 13 foreign political leaders alongside a message from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei promising revenge for the killing of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, further escalating the rhetoric surrounding the Iran war.
The graphic was released online late Saturday by Hamshahri, a Tehran-based newspaper known for its hard-line editorial stance. It did not appear in the newspaper’s Sunday print edition. Its publication followed Mojtaba Khamenei’s first public message since the funeral of Iran’s former supreme leader, who was killed in military strikes earlier this year.

Mojtaba Khamenei Promises Revenge
In his statement, Mojtaba described revenge as the will of the Iranian nation. “Vengeance is the will of our nation and must inevitably be carried out,” he said, according to the published text. He also pledged to avenge what he described as the blood of his father and others killed during the conflict.
“These criminals, whose names appear on a list, will take to their graves the wish of a peaceful death in their beds,” the statement added. The remarks marked Mojtaba’s first public message since the conclusion of his father’s funeral ceremonies and the formal transition of leadership in Tehran.
Newspaper Graphic Features Trump, Netanyahu And European Leaders
Hamshahri accompanied the statement with an infographic displaying photographs of 13 foreign leaders and senior officials. Among those featured were US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The newspaper did not provide additional explanation regarding the selection of the individuals beyond reproducing Mojtaba Khamenei’s statement. There has been no official Iranian government announcement declaring the individuals on the graphic to be formal state targets.
Rhetoric Follows Funeral Of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
The publication comes days after the conclusion of nationwide funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, whose death triggered a leadership transition inside the Islamic Republic. Iranian authorities portrayed the week-long mourning period as a demonstration of national unity following months of conflict with the United States and Israel.
