A Scorpio headed from Delhi to a wedding in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor collided head-on with an Ertiga in Hapur after the driver tried to avoid an animal. Three people died at the spot, seven were injured, and police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.

Three people were killed and seven others seriously injured after a Scorpio and an Ertiga collided head-on on the Delhi-Lucknow highway in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district on Sunday night, police said.
According to police, a group of young men from Mustafabad in Delhi were travelling in the Scorpio to attend a wedding procession in Bijnor. The accident occurred in the Garh area when an animal suddenly appeared on the highway.
The Scorpio driver allegedly lost control while attempting to avoid the animal. The vehicle first hit the animal and then crossed the divider, entering the opposite lane, where it collided head-on with an Ertiga travelling from the direction of Sambhal.
The collision was so severe that both vehicles were completely wrecked. On receiving information, personnel from Garh police station, along with local residents, rushed to the spot and rescued the injured, who were taken to nearby hospitals.
