Spread over 127 acres, the centre has been built at a cost of Rs 325 crore with technical guidance from the National Dairy Development Board and support from the Centre’s Rashtriya Gokul Mission, according to an official statement cited by PTI.
The facility will use breeding methods such as in-vitro fertilisation and embryo transfer to improve the quality of indigenous cattle breeds and raise milk production. It aims to produce 25,000 high-quality embryos every year, the statement said.
