The India Today Group’s Kisan Tak Bharat Agriculture Conference 2026 will bring together around 2,000 farmers, policymakers and global agriculture experts in New Delhi on November 11-12 to discuss farm productivity, sustainability, farmers’ incomes and opportunities in international markets.

The two-day international conference will be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on November 11 and 12.

The India Today Group’s Kisan Tak Bharat Agriculture Conference 2026 will bring together farmers, policymakers, researchers, agricultural experts and industry leaders from India and abroad to discuss the future of Indian agriculture, with a focus on improving farm productivity, boosting farmers’ incomes and making the sector more sustainable.

The two-day international conference will be held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on November 11 and 12. Presented by Mahindra Tractors and Mahadhan Agritech, the event will be held under the theme “Smart Kisan, Viksit Bharat” (Smart Farmer, Developed India).

The conference will examine some of the key challenges facing Indian agriculture, including how to improve productivity, make farming more sustainable, raise farmers’ incomes and open up new opportunities in global markets.

The Union Ministry of Agriculture and the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) are supporting the event. Ambassadors from several countries, heads of international agricultural institutions, Union ministers and representatives of various government departments are expected to attend.

Around 2,000 farmers from across the country are expected to participate, giving them an opportunity to interact with policymakers, researchers, agricultural experts and industry representatives.

Besides panel discussions, the conference will feature cultural performances and showcase the experiences of farmers, women entrepreneurs, agricultural economists and researchers who have helped transform rural India by combining traditional knowledge with modern technology.

Among those expected to share their experiences are Padma Shri awardees Rahibai Soma Popere, Trinita Syiem, Nekram Sharma, Sultan Singh and Sundaram Verma, who have been recognised for their contributions to agriculture and rural development.

The cultural programme will feature performances by Padma Shri award-winning folk singer Prahlad Tipaniya, poet Rudra Pratap Rudra and Bhojpuri singer Chandan Tiwari. Actor, singer and MP Manoj Tiwari will also attend.

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has welcomed the initiative, describing the conference as a roadmap for the collective prosperity of India’s farmers.

“India Today’s and Kisan Tak’s Bharat Agriculture Conference is a new roadmap for the collective prosperity of the country’s food providers. The real foundation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 is our smart farmer and the health of agriculture,” Chouhan said.

He said smart farming went beyond adopting modern technology, and also involved maintaining long-term soil health, lowering input costs and improving farmers’ incomes.

“Making farmers smart through an initiative by India Today Group’s Kisan Tak is a commendable effort. Only when our agriculture is healthy, farmers’ incomes are strong and farmers become smart can India truly become developed and self-reliant,” he added.

WHY THE CONFERENCE MATTERS
Agriculture and allied activities directly employ around 46 per cent of India’s workforce, according to information shared by the organisers.

The Economic Survey 2025-26 estimates that India’s foodgrain production touched a record 357.73 million tonnes in 2024-25.
