Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor clarified that he is ‘healthy and happy’ after fake reports of his death spread rapidly on social media.

Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor has strongly reacted to fake rumours about his death that recently surfaced on social media. The actor shared a video message on Instagram and dismissed the reports as ‘completely fake’. He also warned that he would file a cyber complaint against those responsible for spreading the misinformation online.

The rumours began circulating widely across social media platforms, leaving fans shocked and concerned. Soon after the reports went viral, Shakti Kapoor released a video message on Instagram clarifying that he is safe and healthy. In the video shared online, the actor said, “My death news is all fake. I am healthy and happy. Please ignore it.”
Shakti Kapoor further stated that he intends to take action against those circulating the fake news. “I am going to do a cyber complain about it. But this is not good. It’s not good,” he said, in the video, urging people to avoid forwarding unverified information.
Last year, Raza Murad faced a similar ordeal when false reports about his death surfaced online. The actor later filed a complaint at Andheri Police Station after a social media post wrongly claimed that he had passed away. Speaking to ANI, Murad revealed that the post not only spread fake news about his demise but also suggested that despite spending decades in the film industry, no one remembered him.
He said, “This should stop now. It is not only about me. Celebrities are often declared dead while they are still alive. This is wrong, and whoever does this should be punished.”
