At least four people were killed and seven others injured, including a child, after Russian drone strikes hit Ukraine’s Kyiv region on September 25, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy said Russian drones also struck a warehouse used by McDonald’s. The company’s Ukraine press service confirmed that a logistics partner’s warehouse in the Kyiv region was attacked.
“The most important thing is that no one was injured,” McDonald’s said, adding that its restaurants were continuing to operate as usual. The company said it was assessing the potential impact of the attack on its operations.
As of now, four people have already been reported killed as a result of a Russian drone strike on an office building in Kyiv. My condolences to their families and loved ones… Seven more people were injured, including a child. I thank all of our emergency services, which always respond quickly to help people after Russian attacks.
There were also drone strikes today on a warehouse used by McDonald’s. An attack drone – against ordinary food products… The Russians are constantly expanding their escalation operation: American and other businesses, data centers, internet providers – for Russia, ordinary life in and of itself is simply a target. All of this undermines people’s ability to stay connected, study, and work.
It is important that the world responds to all of this and that Russia feels the response to its terror. Our long-range capabilities and the world’s sanctions must work in concert toward exactly that – concrete consequences for Russia.

Multiple Facilities Damaged In Kyiv Region
Zelenskyy described the strike on the McDonald’s facility as an attack on civilian supplies. “An attack drone – against ordinary food products,” he said. Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko said Russian forces attacked warehouse facilities in the Brovary district twice on September 25 — once overnight and again during the day.
“Brovary district — warehouse facilities and a private house were damaged. Rescuers are putting out a fire at the warehouses,” Tkachenko said.
Zelenskyy said Russia was “constantly expanding its escalation operation,” alleging that American and other businesses, data centers and internet providers were also being targeted. “For Russia, ordinary life in and of itself is simply a target,” Zelenskyy said, adding that such attacks undermine people’s ability to stay connected, study and work.
The Ukrainian president also said an office building in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district was hit by a drone, resulting in casualties and fatalities. He said a building belonging to Ukraine’s High Council of Justice was also damaged.
