The Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a Look Out Circular against Harichandra, also known as Harry Boxer, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, for allegedly threatening actor Ranveer Singh. Police said the threatening voice note sent to the actor’s manager has been sent to Punjab and Haryana for verification.
A threatening voice note was recently sent to Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, marking the latest celebrity threat linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The WhatsApp audio message, sent to the Dhurandhar actor’s manager, is currently under investigation. Reportedly, the message was routed through a VPN and traced to a US-based number. Harichandra, also known as Harry Boxer, is said to be behind the threat. In the latest development, the Mumbai Police have issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the gangster. The audio clip has also been sent to Punjab and Haryana for further verification and investigation.
Ranveer Singh Threat Case Update
According to news agency ANI, “The Mumbai Crime Branch has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against Lawrence Bishnoi gang member Harichandra alias Harry Boxer for threatening Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh. Police had sent the threatening voice note received by Ranveer Singh’s manager to Punjab and Haryana for verification. The sender of the voice note identified himself as Harry Boxer and demanded a ransom of Rs 20 crore.”
Times Now was the first to report that, based on preliminary findings of the ongoing probe, Hari was the main suspect in the case. Our sources informed us that during the initial investigation, the voice in the threatening audio message sent to Ranveer was suspected to be that of Lawrence Bishnoi’s close aide. It is worth noting that the boxer-turned-gangster had allegedly used a VPN to threaten others in the past as well.
Who Is Harry Boxer?
Harichand, also known as Harry Boxer, is an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Hailing from Rajasthan, he is among several names that have surfaced in alarming celebrity threat cases in the past. Reportedly, he made calls and sent audio messages to Ranveer’s manager in an attempt to extort Rs 20 crore from the actor.
According to reports, he largely operates from Canada. Using an international number, he allegedly made two to three calls to Ranveer Singh’s manager, Vijay Subramanian, on February 10. Officials are reportedly trying to trace the number by coordinating with relevant US law enforcement agencies to gather more details.
Notably, Harry had recently made headlines after allegedly claiming responsibility for the firing incident outside Rohit Shetty’s residence.
