The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has sought comprehensive details from its employees, including information about their family members and relatives. Verification and character certificates issued by the police will also be mandatory.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has decided to carry out 100 per cent verification of all staff working at the Ram temple in Ayodhya as part of stepped-up security measures, sources said on Thursday.
The verification will include police checks, character certificates and detailed information about employees’ families and relatives.
The move comes as the temple administration reviews its functioning and tightens security following the donations’ theft that came to light in June this year. Eight people were arrested in connection with the case and are currently in jail. A 70,000-page chargesheet was filed last week.
The Trust has sought comprehensive details from its employees, including information about their family members and relatives. Police verification and character certificates issued by the police will also be mandatory.
The verification exercise is being undertaken under the leadership of the temple’s newly appointed chief executive officer, retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra, who took charge last month.
The temple administration has also undergone a major restructuring, with former general secretary Champat Rai and Trust members Anil Mishra and Gopal Rao relieved of their responsibilities.
