CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke criticised the government over the Tiger Shroff firing incident, saying police should target criminals instead of cracking down on students and activists.

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke on Sunday (October 18) took a dig at the government over the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai’s Juhu area, accusing the authorities of misplaced priorities. Dipke said that the police should focus on criminals instead of cracking down on students and activists.
“Instead of cracking down on students and activists, the police should focus on actual criminals. This is what happens when the Govt and police have their priorities completely misplaced,” the CJP founder said in his X post.

Shroff was shot at in Mumbai by a group of assailants. The actor’s driver, who was with him when the firing took place, was injured in the incident. According to police, the incident was reported in Juhu.
The actor suffered minor injuries. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met Shroff at his residence on Sunday night, hours after the shooting incident. Photographs from the meeting between the two showed that the actor sustained injuries on his arm, shoulder and chest. Luckily, there were no bullet injuries.
Terming the incident as ‘concerning’ and ‘condemnable’, Shinde assured that anyone who attempts to disrupt law and order in Maharashtra will not be spared. The Maharashtra Deputy CM revealed that their first priority is the safety of citizens, both celebrities and non-celebrities.
Addressing the media, he shared, “This incident is deeply concerning and condemnable; I strongly condemn it. I have spoken with the Mumbai Police Commissioner, and Tiger Shroff has also spoken with him. The Mumbai Police Commissioner has formed several teams to track down and apprehend those responsible, and we will respond to them in their own language.”
“Our current priority is to keep Mumbai and its citizens safe. Whether it is a celebrity or an ordinary citizen, ensuring their safety is the responsibility of both the police and the government. There will be no laxity in this regard, and no gang, whoever they may be, will be spared,” he went on to add.
