Earlier today, PM Modi said India continues to urge peace and stability in West Asia amid rising tensions in the region.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held telephonic conversations with Bahrain’s King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, condemning Iran’s attacks on the Gulf nations and reiterating India’s support for diplomatic efforts aimed at the early restoration of peace and stability in the region.
“Had a productive telephone conversation with the King of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa. India condemns the attacks on Bahrain and stands in solidarity with its people in this difficult hour. I thank him for the steadfast support extended to the Indian community in Bahrain,” PM Modi said on X.
“Discussed the evolving situation in West Asia with Crown Prince and PM of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman. India condemns the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia in violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. We agreed that earliest restoration of regional peace and stability is of utmost importance. I thanked him for looking after the well-being of the Indian community in these difficult times,” he said in another post.
In a separate post, the Prime Minister said he also spoke with King Abdullah II of Jordan. “Spoke with His Majesty King Abdullah II, the King of Jordan. Conveyed our deep concern at the evolving situation in the region. We reaffirm our support for peace, security and the well-being of the people of Jordan. I thanked him for taking care of the Indian community in Jordan in this difficult hour,” he wrote.
The United States and Israel targeted Iran in coordinated strikes on February 28 that killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and dozens of other senior figures, triggering retaliatory missile attacks by Tehran on several Gulf countries.

PM Modi on Sunday spoke with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and strongly condemned Iranian attacks on the Gulf country and condoled the loss of lives. He also expressed concern over the safety of Indian citizens in the Gulf.

PM Modi In Touch With Several Countries
The Prime Minister said that when two democracies stand together, their voice becomes stronger on global issues. He added that India is in contact with several countries to ensure the safety and security of Indian citizens affected by the situation.
His remarks followed a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu amid the escalating regional situation, as tensions continued to rise after recent military developments. PM Modi also chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security to review the ongoing conflict.
