Government officials indicated that the free coaching programme could also cover crucial courses such as NEET entrance exams, apart from courses that help students prepare for other high value professional courses.

New Delhi: As the government gears to implement the free coaching initiative announced by the Prime Minister at his Independence Day speech from Red Fort starting October 2, the government is planning to mount a massive outreach programme under which each university will be visited by an union minister so that the government can know about their concerns and issues. To this end, union education minister Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday held a meeting with the prime minister to discuss the free coaching programme.
Government officials indicated that the free coaching programme could also cover crucial courses such as NEET entrance exams, apart from courses that help students prepare for other high value professional courses.
After his meeting with the PM, Joshi said that he also held meetings with senior officials of the Department of Higher Education to review the implementation of PM Modi’s initiative to provide free online coaching to youth preparing for competitive examinations.
“Focused on building a robust national platform that makes high-quality learning content, expert guidance and structured preparation accessible to students across the country,” he posted on X.
