AAP on Sunday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP-led central government of failing to manage key domestic and international challenges from strained India-US ties to the Manipur crisis.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led central government, accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being unable to effectively manage a range of domestic and international challenges.
A poster shared by the party on X listed issues including a tariff dispute with the United States, ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur, and alleged border incursions by China, carried the message, “Neither the country’s borders are safe in Modi’s hands, nor is the country’s honour,” asking, “Is this Modi’s guarantee?”
The graphic explicitly said that the Modi government was “unable to manage” situations involving America, China, Ladakh, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Assam.
The AAP’s allegations stem from a series of recent events across the country and abroad. The party highlighted the strain on India-US relations, which have been impacted by President Donald Trump’s steep tariffs on Indian goods and punitive duties on oil trade with Russia.
Domestically, the AAP pointed to the unresolved situation in Manipur, where tensions persist more than two and a half years after deadly ethnic clashes began. The state continues to await the return of an elected government.
The party also referred to alleged Chinese settlements along the India-China border, and the Opposition’s claims of large-scale incursions. The poster also referenced recent violent clashes in Ladakh, where protesters demanding statehood for the Union Territory turned aggressive.
Additionally, the AAP’s criticism extended to other domestic issues, including massive anti-government protests in Uttarakhand over irregularities in recruitment examinations and recent violent unrest in Assam, where protests demanding Scheduled Tribe (ST) status for the Koch-Rajbongshi community turned violent.
