India is all set to host the Artificial Intelligence Impact Summit 2026 from Monday in New Delhi. The event marks a global convening to shape the future of inclusive, responsible, and resilient artificial intelligence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on February 16, 2026 at 5 pm at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
The India AI Impact Expo 2026 will be held alongside the India AI Impact Summit and will serve as a national demonstration of AI in action. The Expo will host over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations, structured across three thematic chakras — People, Planet, and Progress.
It will feature over 600 high-potential startups and 13 country pavilions showcasing international collaboration in the AI ecosystem. The Expo will bring together global technology firms, startups, academia, research institutions, central and state governments, and international partners.
Welcoming global tech leaders from across the world to India, PM Modi took to X and wrote: “It is a matter of immense pride for us that people from across the world are coming to India for the India AI Impact Summit. This also reflects the potential and capability of our country’s youth. The occasion is proof that our nation is making rapid progress in the fields of science and technology and is contributing significantly to global development.”
In another post, PM Modi declared the theme of the Summit as Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya or welfare for all, happiness for all, reflecting our shared commitment to harnessing Artificial Intelligence for human-centric progress.
The first day of the summit begins on February 16 and will focus on Artificial Intelligence for Road Safety, featuring data-driven solutions to enhance road safety in India. The first session will explore how artificial intelligence can make a measurable impact in improving road safety, with participation from experts from the Ministry of Transport, IITs, and various sectors.
The session will emphasise data-driven approaches to understanding crash patterns, predicting risks, and enabling proactive interventions. It will also discuss scalable artificial intelligence applications to support safer mobility, driver training, and the development of data-driven hyperlocal models, ensuring technology-led impact for public good.
The first day will also feature a leadership session on harnessing artificial intelligence for the future of learning and work. This session will explore how AI is reshaping global employment and redefining future skills.
Another key session will focus on transforming India’s judicial ecosystem through artificial intelligence. Experts will discuss AI’s potential to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accessibility in the judicial system.
The session will examine how AI can enable predictive analytics for informed decision-making, automate case management, facilitate legal research, support virtual courts, and contribute to faster dispute resolution, reduced backlog, and improved access to justice.
Culturally grounded artificial intelligence and social norms will also be on the agenda. Discussions will highlight how AI systems deployed across diverse cultural contexts often fail not due to technical limitations, but because they overlook social norms.
The future of employability in the age of artificial intelligence is another major focus area. Experts will discuss how AI may create new job opportunities while also making certain existing roles redundant, requiring large-scale reskilling of the workforce.
A special session on Artificial Intelligence for Smart and Resilient Agriculture — From Research to Solutions — will also be held on the first day. The session will bring together diverse perspectives to explore how AI can support sustainable, efficient, and climate-resilient agriculture.
The AI Summit also marks the first global artificial intelligence summit of this series to take place in the Global South. It aims to advance a future where the transformative impact of AI serves humanity, drives inclusive growth, fosters social development, and promotes people-centric innovations to protect the planet.
