‘Indian Films To Ban Thi Na?’ Pakistan Trolled As YouTuber Finds Pirated Dhurandhar Just For Rs 16 In Karachi

A YouTuber touring in Pakistan’s Karachi was left shocked after he found an Indian film being sold at the market- out in the open. The movie-in-question was ‘Dhurandhar’, which was being sold for just Rs 16! For those not aware, ‘Dhurandhar’ is banned in Pakistan.

For two neighbouring countries that have been clashing with each other from time to time– it’s no surprise that certain services or even forms of arts are banned from being exchanged between the said nations. For those still wondering- we are hinting towards India and Pakistan, and how both countries have banned quite a few services from crossing the border. However, just because the government has banned something, it does not mean that the citizens can also not arrange it– especially if the “service” in question is a mega hit Bollywood movie!

Aditya Dhar’s ‘Dhurandhar’ is one of the latest Bollywood hits, which was released in December 2025. However, despite the love the film received, the rules for it in Pakistan were the same- just like other Indian films: a ban in Pakistan. With that said, one can imagine the surprise and shock that followed, after a foreign YouTuber found ‘Dhurandhar’ being sold out in open– in the heart of Pakistan; Karachi.

A video was recently shared on social media by YouTuber Karl Rock, who also lives in India. The man was touring Pakistan when he found a pirated version of ‘Dhurandhar’ being sold just for PKR 50 (around Rs 16) in a Karachi market.

The video went viral in an instant, leaving netizens reacting. Apart from the movie being banned in Pakistan, what was further ironic about Dhurandhar’s sale here was how the film was about an Indian Spy who had infiltrated Pakistan’s mafia and its politics.

The Ranveer Singh-starrer film was star-studded; Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and more. The role of the spy, Hamza Ali Mazari, was played by Singh. To grow his hold in Pakistan, Singh’s character joined the gang of Rehman Dakait, a mafia character who was played by Akshaye Khanna. The movie’s hype is only bound to skyrocket soon- as its second instalment has been scheduled for March 19, 2026.
