The Indian Army on Saturday busted a terrorist hideout in a remote village in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir and seized a pistol, some magazines and other logistic supplies.

The hideout was set up inside a natural cave and was unearthed during a search operation in the general area of Hari Budha bowl, the Army’s White Knight Corps said in a post on X. “Based on specific inputs, troops of White Knight Corps undertook a search operation in the general area of Hari Budha Bowl.” it said.

During the systematic search of suspicious locations, including cave-like structures, the troops recovered a pistol, two magazines, clothing, eatables and other logistic stores. “The operation reinforces sustained surveillance and proactive domination of the area,” the White Knight Corps said.

This came after the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. As per the officials, a huge consignment of arms and ammunition was recovered from the operation.

One AK Rifle, two magazines, backpacks, and other ammunition were recovered by the Indian Army. As per the official statement, suspicious movement of terrorists was detected in the general area of Nathua Tibba in Sunderbani sector along the LoC during the early hours of Thursday.
