Hemant Soren assured protesting youths of transparent justice over alleged recruitment exam irregularities. He said dialogue would address their demands and warned against politicising the agitation.
Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday said his government would deliver justice with full transparency to youths protesting alleged irregularities in recruitment exams. He said the students’ concerns were also his concerns and promised strict action against those found guilty.
Soren also said the agitation should not be politicised and alleged that vested interests were trying to disrupt democracy in the state. He warned those with political ambitions against misleading the youths and said problems at home could be resolved through dialogue, not force.
Addressing the Jharkhand Adivasi Mahotsav, the chief minister said, “Unable to accept the state’s self-reliance, vested interests are working at full force in Jharkhand to disrupt democracy here. Samvad and not ‘lathi-danda-bandook’ can solve all problems. Weapons are meant for enemies at the border. I promise the exam protesters that justice will be delivered with full transparency.”
Referring to the protest against the alleged NEET exam paper leak at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, he said, “All saw how youths were tortured, had to face pellet guns, baton charges, and were declared traitors.” Apparently targeting the BJP, Soren accused rival political parties of spreading lies and misinformation to mislead Jharkhand’s youth and said some intellectuals were also involved in this.
