CINDY Crawford’s son’s body has been cremated just days after his suspected overdose in rehab.
Presley Gerber, 27, was cremated at the Rose Family Funeral Home – with his ashes set to be kept at his parents’ home.
His official cause of death is still pending investigation.
Police sources have told The U.S. Sun that Presley died of a suspected overdose while in the recovery home.
Arrangements are underway for his funeral and it is believed to be taking place in the coming week.
The family is deciding between Forest Lawn or Malibu Presbyterian Church, TMZ reports.
Presley was found unresponsive on Sunday morning at a sober house in Santa Monica, California.
He was declared dead at the scene despite the efforts of emergency services.
The rehab facility’s website boasts that its program is located in a prime section of Los Angeles, inside a luxurious mansion.
It features breathtaking views of the ocean and the city.
They offer their clients 24/7 onsite staff, chef-prepared meals, and an in-home movie theater.
It is unknown how long Gerber had been staying at the facility.
The Medical Examiner told The U.S. Sun that Gerber was pronounced dead at 9:45 am on Sunday, and as of Monday afternoon, an autopsy had been completed.
Gerber’s famous family, which also includes model/actress sister Kaia, released a statement after the tragic news, saying, “The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.”
The model had been open about his battle with addiction and mental health for years before his death, and even spoke about trying psychedelic drug therapy in his battle for recovery.
In his final photos just weeks before his death, Gerber grinned at the camera in a lush backyard on Instagram.
The star’s celebrity parents and sister were very supportive of his recovery journey.
Crawford commented under the post: “You are a warrior! Walked thru fire to find yourself! So proud!”
“That’s my brother I am so damn proud,” sister Kaia wrote.
