A fraudulent website, “indiansportsaward.org,” is misleadingly claiming that the Indian government is accepting applications for the International Sports Awards and Indian Sports Awards 2025.
A website named “indiansportsaward.org” is falsely claiming that the Narendra Modi-led government is accepting applications for the International Sports Awards and Indian Sports Awards 2025. The site, which has gone viral, is even using the Government of India’s logo on its letterhead to lend credibility. According to the fake invitation, the awards ceremony is scheduled for August 28 in Delhi.
Meanwhile, the letter, falsely claiming affiliation with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, states that the International Sports Awards 2025 will be held at the Taj Palace Hotel in Mumbai on August 28. The accompanying poster also claims that the awards will be presented by Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, along with actors Surendra Pal and Raza Murad.
