As the video spread rapidly, many viewers found it hard to believe what they were seeing. The incident looked almost unreal, sparking a debate online: Is the video real, or is it AI-generated? Let’s take a closer look and fact-check the claims.
The Viral Claims
The video has been shared by several users on X and Instagram. Many posts claim that the accident took place in Jaipur, alleging that a Mahindra Thar, speeding at high velocity, somehow launched into the air and crashed into a high-positioned exit signboard, where it remained stuck for hours.
In the viral clip, the Thar appears lodged firmly into the overhead signboard without any visible movement. The signboard reads “Delhi, Gurugram, Jaipur, Exit 22, NH-48,” which makes the location appear authentic at first glance. Because of these realistic details, many viewers initially believed the footage to be genuine.

Fact-Checking The Viral Video
However, a closer examination raises serious doubts.
1) Suspicious Text On The Signboard
Upon zooming into the video, some text visible near “NH-48” appears to be unreadable and resembles gibberish — something like “1anic, 1a, 1ngic…” Such distorted or nonsensical lettering is unusual for official Indian highway signboards, especially on National Highways, where standardised fonts and formatting are strictly followed.
2) No Credible News Coverage
A reverse image search using Google Lens did not show any credible news reports or verified coverage of such a dramatic accident. Given the unusual nature of the incident, a vehicle flying high enough to get stuck in an overhead signboard, it is highly unlikely that no media outlet would report it.
3) Further Investigation
Digging deeper into the video, the original source was found to be an Instagram account that is full of AI-generated content. The account, identified as @viiztrrix, originally posted the video, and its bio reads “AI visuals,” indicating that all videos shared on the account are AI-generated. The account features many other realistic-looking AI videos as well.
Several social media users also questioned the authenticity of the video, pointing out visual inconsistencies and the lack of reliable sources confirming the incident.
