Heavy rains lashed Delhi-NCR, triggering widespread waterlogging, traffic disruptions and damage to residential structures across the national capital. The Delhi Fire Service, in an update on Friday night, said it received calls about nine house collapses since late Thursday night, while 16 incidents of tree fall were reported from different parts of the city.

In one of the tree-fall incidents, three women were trapped inside a house. They were later rescued with the help of fire department personnel. The incessant rainfall also disrupted normal life, with several low-lying roads submerged and commuters facing severe traffic congestion.

Heavy waterlogging was reported in Delhi-NCR following heavy rainfall, with severe water accumulation in Sangam Vihar and at the Kapashera border. Visuals show people struggling to push their vehicles through deep water.

The rainwater also entered parts of Safdarjung Hospital, leaving patients and attendants struggling to move through the premises. Videos and visuals showed people wading through knee-deep water in and around the hospital. An attendant, Arif Khan, told ANI that patients and their families had been facing difficulties since morning due to extensive waterlogging.
