The primary task was to reconcile the competing claims of AICC General Secretary (Organisation) KC Venugopal, outgoing Leader of the Opposition VD Satheesan, and veteran leader Ramesh Chennithala.
By Wednesday evening, AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh confirmed that the consultation process was officially complete. This announcement came amid mounting pressure from the UDF’s second-largest constituent, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
