SHOs have been instructed to monitor the activities and movement of people with criminal antecedents in their respective areas.

Delhi Police have stepped up security across the national capital ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) proposed October 10 protest, with officers tracking around 2,800 people with alleged criminal records and monitoring bus operators and possible entry routes into the city, officials said.
Station house officers (SHOs) have been instructed to monitor the activities and movement of people with criminal antecedents in their respective areas.
Police have identified around 2,800 such individuals using the Facial Recognition System (FRS), with particular attention being given to those allegedly involved in serious offences.
Officials said police are tracking whether any of these individuals are travelling towards New Delhi to join the proposed demonstration and where they are coming from.
Buses, Borders Under Watch
Police are also keeping a close watch on bus operators and bookings, seeking details of individuals or organisations arranging transport for the protest. Local police have been asked to monitor information about buses heading towards Delhi and take necessary action.
Entry points are also under heightened surveillance amid concerns that protesters could enter the capital through the Uttar Pradesh border or routes from Rajasthan. Police have been directed to increase checks and install barricades at potential entry points.
Officers have also been asked to contact paying guest accommodation operators, particularly in student hubs, and advise them to discourage students from participating in the protest.
Police said CJP leaders and volunteers have been appealing on social media for people to join the demonstration, although permission for the October 10 protest has not yet been granted.
Officials have also received inputs that protesters may attempt to stage demonstrations at the spot if stopped from reaching the proposed venue.
