A man hacked his elderly parents to death with an axe following an argument at their home in Chhattisgarh’s Surguja district, police said.
The incident took place on Monday and the accused repeatedly struck his father Hiradhar Yadav, 60, and mother Gulabi, inflicting severe injuries to their heads, necks and other parts of their bodies.
The couple died on the spot.
After the murder, the accused stuffed the bodies into a sack and was preparing to dispose of them when his brother and some villagers learnt about the incident.
