Organised by the Tricity Churches Association (TCA), the procession transformed several streets into a vibrant celebration of faith, music and togetherness, quickly drawing attention far beyond the city.
The widely shared clips, posted across platforms such as X and other social networks, show a large procession moving through the streets with participants from different walks of life. In the video, a man wearing a turban can be seen walking alongside others as a Bible, placed inside a glass case, is carried with reverence. The atmosphere is set to devotional music dedicated to Jesus Christ, blended with lively Punjabi beats, adding a unique regional flavour to the celebration.

According to reports, the yatra was led by Bishop Sahaya T. Thomas and featured colourful tableaux illustrating the birth and teachings of Jesus Christ. The event witnessed the participation of thousands of residents from across the Tricity, as people lined the roads to welcome the procession. Several local groups and associations also arranged langars, offering tea and refreshments to attendees as a gesture of hospitality.
Children dressed in festive outfits, cheerful greetings of “Merry Christmas” echoing across neighbourhoods, and smiling faces along the route highlighted the spirit of the occasion. The procession stood out not just as a religious event, but as a public celebration reflecting unity and shared joy.
