The BJP mocked Rahul Gandhi over his Vietnam visit, sharing a video showing him on a flight. The jibe came amid INDIA bloc protests against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday took a swipe at Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi over his Vietnam trip, amid ongoing Congress-led protests against alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Accusing Gandhi of taking a break after “spreading lies”, the BJP shared a video on its official X account that purportedly showed him seated in a business-class cabin.
“I’m tired of spreading lies… Let me go roam around Vietnam for a few days… Who would even find out!” the BJP wrote in its post.
Meanwhile, the Congress has defended Rahul Gandhi’s foreign trip, saying he is entitled to visit any place during his personal time.
”झूठ फैलाते-फैलाते थक गया… कुछ दिन वियतनाम घूम आता हूं… किसी को क्या ही पता चलेगा! 😜”

The trip comes after Gandhi participated in the Congress’s Goy Rakhon Yatra (Save Goa March) in poll-bound Goa, where he walked for two kilometres alongside party leaders. Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in the state next year.
The BJP’s jibe also comes amid protests by the Congress and other INDIA bloc constituents against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over allegations of electoral malpractice.
On October 12, Congress and other INDIA bloc leaders held a ‘March for Democracy’ rally to the Supreme Court and submitted a petition concerning the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Opposition parties have also held several other protests over allegations of irregularities in the electoral revision exercise.
