Five people were killed and 21 injured after a truck rammed a Bolero pickup van from behind on the Samruddhi Expressway near Dhamangaon in Amravati district around 12.45 am. The injured were taken to Dhamangaon Rural Hospital and later referred to Wardha Medical College.

A senior police official told PTI the accident occurred on Channel 97 of the Samruddhi Expressway near the Dhamangaon railway in Amravati district at 12.45 am.
