
A 70-year-old Sikh man was brutally assaulted outside a Gurudwara in Los Angeles. According to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) chief, Jim McDonnell, the suspect who unleashed the brutal act against the elderly man, has been arrested. The victim, identified as Harpal Singh, is reportedly in a critical state, while the suspect was a homeless man.
The crime took place in North Hollywood when Harpal Singh was out for a walk when a man brutally attacked him with a golf club near Lankershim Boulevard and Saticoy Street. According to LAPD police, an argument broke out between the two, during which the suspect got enraged and attacked the elderly person.
The assault has endangered elderly Sikh man’s life as he remains in critical condition after internal bleeding to the brain. Harpal Singh, a few days ago, had undergone three surgeries for broken facial bones and bleeding on the brain.
