4 Dead After Gas Leak At Palghar Pharma Company, 2 Critical

A major gas leak accident took place at Medley Pharmaceutical Company in Maharashtra’s Palghar. As per reports, 4 workers have died while two more are in critical condition.

Gas leak at Palghar pharma company in Maharashtra

At least four people have died after a gas leak incident took place at a pharmaceutical company in Maharashtra’s Palghar on Thursday.
The gas leak was reported at Medley Pharma Company located at Tarapur-Boisar industrial area in Palghar. While four people were declared dead, condition of two more is said to be critical.
The gas leak occurred in Medley Pharmaceuticals located at Plot No. 13, Boisar Industrial Colony, between 2:30 and 3:00 pm on August 21.

The accident occurred due to gas leakage in the nitrogen reaction tank present in the factory, in which a total of 6 workers were affected.

The injured were immediately admitted to Shinde Hospital in Boisar for treatment. Four workers died during treatment, while the condition of two others remains critical who have been kept in ICU.

  2. Bengali Thakur
  3. Dheeraj Prajapati
  4. Kamlesh Yadav

Meanwhile, the Palghar Police stated that the process of registering a case is underway and statements from witnesses are being recorded as part of the investigation.
Earlier this week, 582 passengers stranded on the Mumbai Monorail between Chembur and Bhakti Park near Mysore Colony were safely rescued by the Mumbai Fire Brigade of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
