Indian security forces achieved a significant milestone by deporting fugitive gangster Lakhvinder Kumar from the United States, with support from the Central Bureau of Investigation.

In a big win for Indian security agencies, a fugitive gangster associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was deported from the United States on Saturday in an operation coordinated by the Central Bureau of Investigation. Sources said Lakhvinder Kumar, who had an Interpol Red Notice issued against him, is among the nearly 40 gangsters who have been deported back to the country this year.
After the successful deportation of Lakhvinder Singh from the US, Gurugram Police will take Gangster Sunil Sardana into custody from Indira Gandhi International Airport today. Sunil Sardana, officials say, orchestrated the firing on Bollywood singer Fazilpuria earlier this year.
Several operatives linked to the gangster network are reportedly under the scanner in Canada, the UAE, and Europe, with Indian authorities pursuing Interpol Red Corner Notices and bilateral extradition requests.
This year, 36 gangsters have been deported back to India, as agencies intensify their crackdown on fugitive gang members who had fled abroad after facing charges.
He had been on the radar of multiple Indian agencies for his role in extortion, arms trafficking, and cross-border coordination for the Bishnoi syndicate. He was traced following a coordinated operation between Indian and US authorities, which led to his detention and subsequent deportation process.
