Eyewitnesses reported a scene of chaos and panic as the vehicle, which was reportedly overloaded beyond capacity, flipped multiple times.

A devastating road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district claimed the lives of 12 people on Wednesday night, leaving 13 others critically injured, officials said.
The incident occurred around 8.30 pm near a petrol pump when a pickup truck carrying approximately 35 labourers suddenly lost control and overturned.
Eyewitnesses reported a scene of chaos and panic as the vehicle, which was reportedly overloaded beyond capacity, flipped multiple times. Among the deceased are several children, adding a heart-wrenching dimension to the tragedy.
Residents and police immediately rushed to the site to initiate rescue operations, pulling trapped victims from the wreckage and transporting them to the district hospital.
Medical officials at the district hospital have confirmed that 13 individuals remain in serious condition, with some currently battling life-threatening injuries. While authorities are investigating the exact cause of the crash, preliminary reports suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive weight and speed.
The labourers were reportedly travelling together when the vehicle met with the accident on the dark stretch of the highway.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended condolences to the families of those killed in the accident and announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh.
