Will face hell: Iran’s stark warning to US, Gulf nations amid escalating attacks

  • June 28, 2026

Iran launched missile and drone strikes on US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain after fresh American attacks on Iranian targets. As tensions surged despite a fragile ceasefire, US President Donald Trump warned Iran could “cease to exist” if Washington is forced to escalate its military response.

IRGC Navy also warned that US military bases across the region would experience “hell” in the coming days.

The Middle East plunged deeper into conflict early Sunday after Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its navy and aerospace forces had launched a joint missile and drone operation targeting US military sites in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation for fresh American strikes on Iranian territory. In a strong-worded statement, Iran’s IRGC Navy said US strikes on Sirik would not weaken its control over the Strait of Hormuz and warned that action against “violators” would reinforce safe passage rules. It also threatened that US military bases across the region would experience “hell” in the coming days.

IRAN RETALIATES WITH MISSILE, DRONE STRIKES

The IRGC said the attacks were a response to US military operations carried out on Saturday against Iranian missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar sites. According to Iranian state-linked media, the Guard also accused Washington of attacking five Iranian coastal positions under the pretext of responding to an incident involving a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.

Kuwait’s army confirmed that its air defence systems were intercepting what it described as “hostile” missiles and drones. There was no immediate confirmation from US officials regarding the extent of damage or casualties at the targeted military installations.

IRGC NAVY WARNS US BASES WILL EXPERIENCE ‘HELL’

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said US strikes on Sirik would not undermine Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that its response against “violators” served as a reminder to all vessels of the designated passage through the strategic waterway. The IRGC Navy also warned that US military bases across the region would experience “hell” in the coming days, signaling a sharp escalation in its rhetoric amid rising tensions.

IRAN WARNS CEASEFIRE COULD COLLAPSE

In a strongly worded statement, the IRGC accused the United States of violating the ceasefire and warned that any breach of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding would bring all ongoing diplomatic processes to a complete halt. It also warned that vessels it deemed to be in violation would face stronger action in the future and that any “enemy aggression” would receive a “crushing response.”

US SAYS STRIKES FOLLOWED TANKER ATTACK

The latest escalation came hours after the United States launched another round of strikes on Iran following an attack on the Panama-flagged oil tanker *M/T Kiku* near the Strait of Hormuz. The operation marked the second consecutive day of US military action linked to attacks on commercial shipping in the strategically vital waterway.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the strikes were carried out at President Donald Trump’s direction after Iran allegedly violated the ceasefire agreement. According to CENTCOM, Tehran failed to honour the truce after a one-way attack drone struck the M/T Kiku, which was carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil while transiting near the Strait of Hormuz.

Explosions were also reported in southern Iran, with Iranian media saying blasts were heard on Sirik Island near the Strait of Hormuz. Reports added that US projectiles also targeted a village on Qeshm Island.

TRUMP THREATENS FURTHER MILITARY ACTION

Following the strikes, US President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning to Tehran, saying the United States could be forced to “militarily complete the job” if Iran continued violating the ceasefire.

“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
