Vijay Varma On His Acting Journey
During a candid chat with us, Vijay Varma went down memory lane and recalled how he would do small roles in films and eventually got recognition by impressing fans with his performance. He said, “I have had my journey doing small parts in my career. I had four scenes in Pink. In Gully Boy, I played a supporting part. I think Matka King is a slow step towards reaching my potential. It has been quite a satisfying journey for me.”
He gave an example of Matka King, which is about to release on Amazon Prime Video, and said that now he is doing lead roles. Vijay said, “Doing my first show as a lead has been a rewarding journey for me personally. What worked in my favour is I believed in myself and the dream I had.”
Vijay Varma expressed his gratitude towards his teachers and family members for contributing to making the way he is today. The actor said, “I also got great support from my teachers and family. I am thankful to those people who actually paid for my fees. It is like a gamble. Jo acha khelta hai, log usko pasand karte hain.”
“I did what I know and eventually connected with the audience. Hence, producers start looking for you. It is a gamble for producers and directors who trust in me with stuff that is out of my capacity at times. Then, I have to find myself worthy enough of this and do a job that takes care of their interest as well,” the actor concluded.
