Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday attended Suvendu Adhikari’s nomination filing in Kolkata’s Bhabanipur, urging voters to bring ‘change’ in West Bengal. Shah said defeating Mamata Banerjee would ensure change, alleging rising violence and unemployment. He added BJP aims to build ‘Shonar Bangla’. Clashes between BJP and TMC supporters were reported at Hazra and Alipore.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday had visited Kolkata and was present during Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari’s filing of nomination from Bhabanipur constituency.
Addressing the gathering, Shah urged people to bring in a ‘change’ in West Bengal.
“I have a shortcut of how to bring the change in the state. Just make Suvendu Adhikari win from Bhabanipur and the change is bound to happen. Suvendu wanted to contest from only Nandigram but I told him to contest from Bhabanipur as well and to defeat Mamata Banerjee. People of the state are distressed by frequent bomb blasts, gunfire and unemployment in the state. From 2014 whichever states had BJP in power is getting developed,” said Shah.
