A Jaipur bomb disposal squad destroyed suspected RDX and detonators recovered from a reported Pakistan drone drop. The seizure prompted heightened surveillance and an investigation into the consignment’s origin and intended destination.

Security agencies breathed a sigh of relief after a bomb disposal squad (BDS) from Jaipur destroyed RDX explosives and detonators dropped by a drone from Pakistan near the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district.
The explosives were destroyed in a controlled operation under the supervision of the bomb disposal team and in the presence of security personnel. The suspected RDX, described as black RDX, was detonated in two stages, producing loud blasts that sent soil flying into the air and left a crater around five feet deep.
The detonator recovered with the explosive material had been destroyed separately before the RDX was detonated. Officials had also recovered a large detonator attached to the explosive consignment.
The operation was carried out after a joint search by security agencies uncovered packets containing weapons and suspected explosives in the border area.
ARMS, AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES RECOVERED
The consignment was reportedly dropped by a drone from Pakistan in the 12 KND area near Rawla in Sri Ganganagar district. Initial information indicated that three packets had been dropped near Chak 4 KNM, around the W-Tail area.
The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and the Border Security Force (BSF) conducted a joint operation following intelligence inputs about the suspected cross-border delivery.
The recovery reportedly included two pistols, four magazines, around 650 cartridges and approximately seven kilograms of suspected explosive material. Four pairs of pencil cells and two remote controls were also reportedly found in the packets.
