Linda Noskova defeated Muchova 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to win Wimbledon 2026

Karolina Muchova almost pulled off a Carlos Alcaraz-type comeback, but Linda Noskova held her nerves to win Wimbledon 2026, her first Grand Slam. The game turned out to be a blockbuster. Noskova dominated for one and a half sets and had seven championship points; however, Muchova, despite being down a break, kept saving points and eventually stunned Noskova to win the set 5-7.
Noskova, however, didn’t let the blip get on her head and played a perfect third set to win the game 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 to become the Wimbledon champion.
The match reminded fans of the French Open 2025 final between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, where Alcaraz saved championship points and made a stunning comeback to win the French Open. However, Muchova failed to replicate the feat, but she showed tremendous will to fight and made a match out of nothing.
Meanwhile, Noskova continued the trend of a new Wimbledon winner every year. After Serena Williams defended her title in 2016, Wimbledon has seen a new champion every year.
