JOE Biden’s stage four cancer battle is difficult to watch as he’s left debilitated and in pain, his son Hunter has revealed in an emotional interview.
The 46th president was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones in May last year.
He had experienced urinary symptoms and doctors found a prostate nodule that was later diagnosed as cancer.
Five months later, it was confirmed the former president was undergoing radiation therapy as part of his new treatment plan.
His team confirmed that while his cancer is “a more aggressive form of the disease, it appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management.”
Last month, the 83-year-old issued a rare personal health update as he announced a new book about his presidency.
He thanked supporters for their well-wishes and confirmed treatment is “going really well.”
“I’ve been spending a lot of time with my family. I’m dealing with a cancer diagnosis, been getting treatment, and it’s going really well,” he said in a video.
Now, in an interview with the BBC, his son Hunter has admitted that “it’s really sad to watch” his father suffer with the disease.
“Cancer is really hard,” he said.
